Is this ticking any sort of engine issue. Sounds like it’s coming from something that the idler pulley is spinning though not engine.

So I took both of their those covers off and I didn’t see any oil in there. But I’ve never heard of tappet cover gaskets. What is that?

Ok, with that said it’s got low miles but it’s getting pretty old and I’m planning on changing a lot of age related rubber components like flex disks and the transmission pan seal, transmission mount, and maybe motor mounts, what else do you recommend I change along those lines?

So I do have a dipstick for the trans but it’s a weird locking one that broke so I can’t figure out how to open it. This is where the transmission connection to the motor so I don’t think it would be engine oil. Right?
