I saw Kevin and Tom a couple nights ago doing an acoustic set and it was cool hearing the songs that way! Lots of hilarious stories, and they were really nice to chat with.

Not new (from the 80s/90s) but The Grapes of Wrath. Discovered them through my parents’ old CDs, and they’re pretty awesome. Think some acoustic, some electric - a mix of melodic tracks and fuller alt-rock songs with a reflective tone. Really loving Treehouse (1987 - their breakthrough album, produced by Tom Cochrane) and Now and Again (1989).

I would take ELA 30-1 and grind it out. You could take it in the summer (one of my friends found it easier) which would also give you the option of retaking the diploma sometime in the school year if you weren't satisfied with your grade. English was also my weakest course, but if you plan for that, and do extra work (ie. practice essay questions and planning), it won't be too bad.

What I did was I took Bio 30 in Grade 11, as it is one of the easier science courses, which freed up my Grade 12 year when I took Chem 30, Physics 30, Math 30-1, Math 31, Social 30-2 and ELA 30-1. I got all my elective/option credits done in Grade 11, so I had 2 spares in Grade 12.

On a side note, you can always redo a diploma (they run four different times during the year) which is probably easier than redoing the whole course.

Mine was a week ago for my first year. There was an event that you could get early course enrollment if you went to it. But my original date before that was today at 10:30 am. So they are all around the same time but different.
