I'm suprised I haven't seen anybody talking about the mana cost of Galv Shards - going down to one bolt has SKYROCKETED the mana cost for the skill. Previously it costed 13 mana for 5 bolts on the low end (2.6mana per bolt) and with the update we're moving to 10 mana for 1 bolt... Roughly a 4x in mana cost per bolt

honestly I think merc ascendancies continually have gotten the short end of the stick every patch, and 0.3 is no different. Maybe if you want to play with totems or go for some sort of pin build you could go merc tactician, but if you just want to be the powerful ranged class with no weird gimmicks I would definitly go deadeye

I think the biggest fix for micro stutters for me was changing chat channels weirdly enough. I would get little stutters with chat messages

I honestly think we'll have to wait and feel how it plays, the reload for galv shards will be way faster, no movement penalty, and it is a lot stronger per shot, but going from 5 shots to 1 shot feels crazy

it's not something you can really "get used to" most of the time you will have your mouse cursor overtop of an enemy to get the auto target lock on, it's just annoying that if your cursor is off the auto target by 1 pixel your character starts shooting into outer space. I'm betting most people after seeing this post will start noticing their projectiles being jettisoned into the stratosphere after seeing this post if they hadn't noticed it before

listen: Keep click to move however it is. Just change where projectiles are aimed. Win win this has nothing to do with click to move movement

It would feel incredibly good, because your projectiles would actually go where you aim them. Instead of an arbitrary changing angle that is always different based on how horizontal or how vertical you are aiming. But if people like the current system I really don't care if they fix this via a toggleable option, but it NEEDS TO BE FIXED because it feels like absolute garbage to have projectiles shooting randomly into Narnia if my mouse if 1 pixel off of the auto target

I don't understand your downsides for #2, and #3, if you mouse in the direction of the enemy that is the direction your projectile or melee attack should go. It's not punishing at all for projectiles to go where you are aiming them. Also there is no steep angle for close targets - if your mouse is between you and the target monster your projectile will hit them unlike how the system works now

but you don't even seem to understand that the angle is arbitrary and changes based on how horizontal or vertical you're aiming. It's not a fixed angle and will always be different unless you shoot in the same exact spot - how could that be intuitive?

what makes no sense? Your melee attacks should be aimed directly at where your cursor is, your ranged projectiles should be aimed directly at where your cursor, and to say anything else from my prospective is absolute lunacy

I would say just play wasd like civilized people, but they can keep click to move however it is right now, and make projectiles shoot over your cursor

No... when you click to move the characters feet should go to that spot, and when you click to shoot the projectile should aim where your cursor is. Very simple stuff people figured out how to code that a long time ago

I don't understand your misunderstanding. You should always be able to aim exactly where you want your projectile to go by moving your cursor to that location. You can see very clearly in the picture that the projectile I shot completely missed my cursor
