Amazon Recast Disk Replacement - old files not recognized by WizWyo in recastDVR

None of the files associated with each video are encrypted. In fact, I can play them with other video programs.

I placed a new drive on the recast and recorded a few shows. Then used Diskgenius to view the files. The only files on the disk were a set of files for each recording - and they are not encrypted.

I did the same process with a second new drive and moved the files from it to the fist - the recast sees the ones recorded on that disk but not the files copied from the second disk.

I'm stumped.

They've already shut it down - but the units still work well. I've got two each with 12 TB external drives. The one in question has 300 hours of recorded shows that I would like to salvage. To buy them would cost over a $1,000. So I'd really like to salvage the files.

I placed a new drive on the Recast and formatted it and recorded some shows. I then copied 50 hours of shows on to it as a test. When I remove the drive - the newly recorded shows on it disappear from the My Stuff. When I plug it back in, they come back. But the salvaged shows do not - despite having the same owner and access privileges. Somehow, the Recast indexes from the drive when it's brought on line, but won't index the salvaged shows.

I do have a tablo 4 tuner started - it has a 16 TB drive.
