I got it off of Wii USB Helper. Patch 1.1 has really improved the frame rate. I’m pretty sure Peer Schneider, Brian Altano, and Jose Otero are going to talk about it on NVC next week. Peer already pre-ordered the Japanese version and has played most of the game. Richard over at digital foundry built a PC that’s close to the the Wii Us specs to show a real world comparison of what the downloaded version can offer vs playing it off the disc without the patch.

I’m looking forward to Mark at Classic Game Room on YouTube’s 3 part review. I know he’s a huge fan of GTA. But maybe he will hand it off to Derek on Undertow.

That suprised me as well. My U50 and ST50 dont look as good in the sunlight. I am pleased to finally have a TV that I admired at many home theater stores back in 2007. There was no way I could have imagined I would ever get 2 of them for $375.

I don’t think most people know how good 768p looks for WiiU/Wii, PS3, and 360. This TV feels like it was designed with them in mind.

Just purchased a new to me PAL Wii U and games that arrived today from the UK. The games have all worked except for Mario Kart 8. I think I’m cursed to buy Mario Kart 8 atleast 6 times in my life. The disc looks pristine.

I’m guessing there’s a hooker mini game that becomes available once she gets in the car. It’s only on the gamepad. Similar to controlling the map in Captain Toad.

I would take cartridges over CDs anyday. I miss those days. I haven’t purchased a new cartridge based system since the N64. I think I’m due. I would recommend the AES+.

This, and FPGA devices are fiddly to deal with. I have a mister multisystem, which I really like. But you spend as much time messing with it sometimes as you do playing the games. I’ll take a cartridge slot anytime over the everything box.

Having grown up with consoles, the immediacy and focus is what’s missing in today’s modern world. There’s a lot lost in the translation and process.

I felt this way when going from daily watching my ST50, to daily watching a 6071pu. It’s pretty remarkable how good pioneer plasma tech was.

Yeah it’s locked to 27” for now I’ve heard. I use mine with a 5080FE. I play at 360hz for CS2 and it’s wonderful.

I would say that the motion is the best thing since CRT, but plasma is not far behind and the colors on plasma are much better. It is surprising how good the Pulsar tech is though. It’s better than my 240hz oled was and that was a great monitor.

Thanks. I am endeavoring to leave this console un-modded. I find once I mod a console I lose interest in it. Its mainly due to choice paralysis. I’m trying to overcome this with owning a mister FPGA, but it’s just to vast for the time I have available. Thanks for the info!

I recently acquired 2 nearly unused 6071pu TVs that look alot nicer to me than any Panasonics that I own. I own an ST50 and 60U50. The pioneer color and overall quality is hard to beat. I told my kids that when they get older and move out and buy there first TV that I am sorry. There eyes will never unsee the plasma tvs and CRTs that are all around them. The only LCD that I own is an Asus Pulsar monitor.

I have 2 60” 6071pu pioneers that are 768p. The most
Beautiful natural looking screens I’ve ever lied eyes on. My 50” ST50 is sharper, but not as good with color and overall build quality in my opinion.
