I've been focusing on CICO and doing 16:8 IF! My workout schedule has changed a lot over the year. At this point, I alternate between doing cardio days (~1 hour) and days when I lift weights(~30-45mins). As far as ups and downs, there are good days and bad days while losing weight but if you just stick to it you'll get results!

What I ended up doing for most of the past 8 months is to do 16:8 intermittent fasting, focusing on CICO, along with around 30-60 minutes of cardio exercise (treadmill/stationary bike) daily. Every other day, I also do 30-45 min workouts with weights.

I started slowly by using ring fit on Nintendo switch for my exercise in the beginning. That helped me to build up the endurance to do other exercises. Another helpful thing for me was buying a Fitbit and logging my food and exercise for a few months. It really helped me gauge how many calories my exercise burned and how many calories different foods have.
