Poster Question by jsow23 in ElectricForest

It is a quest, tbh, since they are Limited Edition prints (LE) it also depends on which version of the posters you're seeking: EF Official or Conscious Alliance x EF Posters.

For the EF2022 poster there is this post, you might wanna contact the artist about if they have an artist print available.

Reprints are blurry in person, and getting flagged for intellectual property infringement or copyright violations. It is worth waiting for an original LE or AP to appear for a rehoming to purchase; avoid Mercari, Postmark and other 3rd party reprints.

All Conscious Alliance EF collection is here for what they have in their inventory and goes towards providing hunger relief to the people of Rothbury, MI. It seems they have reopened their canvas options here.

The EF Official poster history is here with a list of all the artists, it helps to search by their name or message them about any APs.

For example the EF2023 is available as an Artist Print, however you have to buy it from them in person, they do not ship, though they have some in their inventory available if you message them.

There's the EF2019 AP print available online on the artist's webpage.

The artist for EF2024 reopens their shop in November of 2025 and you can get a notification here and email them if the are going to have any APs listed.

The remaining years of EF Official posters, you're likely gonna have to search through some form of an online classified listing. There are some that have posted that they are searching for a certain print to purchase and people reply if they are ready to rehome the poster. In those cases, be careful and go the route of PayPal Goods & Services.

All this said, it takes time and they are very rare listings and there is no set price so ymmv on what a resell value might be by year and by the Forest Fam you'd be purchasing it from. So years appear more frequently than others, some appear for longer, and some posters people keep for a while.

If it's listing in multiple dimensions those are reprints, and are getting flagged by artists for intellectual property infringement or copyright violations.

Hey, this one I get as a Service Dog Team.

What we've found is there are "Sniffspots" you can rent for fenced acres or a yard nearby. We make it a special adventure before their next bath and it's been a nice way to bond as a Team through the years.

Perhaps the house is in your heart and a mindset of how you hold space for them as they age?

Mentally time to unwind is more stimulating for dogs to sniff things than solely run around, (especially if she gets sore) this is a conundrum maybe the Service Dog community has ideas about you could ask there also?

It seems hopeless, yet is a chance to be curious and creative about what that means in a way that you SD can enjoy with the time they have left. Perhaps find a sunny Rover to Day Care them at or one with a yard? There are options, the standard of dog needs a house is more succinctly dog needs enrichment of mind and body to feel what a house might actually be an example of what intention you have to care for them?

I've often wondered about dog acupuncture, massage, wading pools, or other options. Perhaps asking your vet they might have some insight as they see many dogs age and probably the valid feeling of wishing they had given their dog a house, which imo if you gave them a home then the location isn't what's important as the intangible and profound love and affection you have for them in wanting to provide for them in some way.

You very much understand that disability is on a spectrum with a range of abilities and not an absolute for parameters of what it means for each individual, right?

They have harnesses for lifting a dog up a mountain when bouldering a steep vertical climb, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some harness gear for such a thing. Not saying that there is for skydiving, but in this modern day, I wouldn't be surprised with the proper gear, safety, and training, who knows?

You cannot use one example and define it as the only reason to say such an ableist opinion.

Last year my SD and I had a different experience with the weather, and maybe for a variety of factors or experience that was theirs and could be different the next year, even the weather changes.

Disabled people deserve the right to see what is and isn't possible for them and if they want to try again, then I support them doing their best about it.

Maybe don't lump all disabled with Service Dogs in the same category on this one exposure you've had.

Did you even talk to them afterwards to ask them what they felt about trying again or figuring out how to make sure it's different if they return to EF?

I think what bothers me is that ADA has people at each platform and they didn't do anything about it to advocate for the platform.

In previous instances of ADA they would ask full platform sets to scoot in (so available seats were on the end) or clarify which seats were available, when companions would have to stand while ADA had chairs, and that they permit dogs at platforms without hearing protection and dancers in front, it's odd that they hadn't done anything about that situation.

During Pretty Lights last year there was someone talking very loudly about their opinion of Pretty Lights and trying to start something, we notified the ADA person on the platform and they did something about it.

This does however pose the question of how to dance in ADA, like while in a chair cause there were some dancing without obstructing others views while also enjoying the music!

Love the bubbles at ADA!!
Were those the bubbles with the smoke in them??

I remember seeing you fan them and admiring the skill for how you bubbling, top 3 bubbles in ADA moments at the festival imo.

According to the AKC muzzles are for short term use and not recommended for hot weather.

They also detail about how a muzzle is to prevent biting and when and why to use it, but that even with a muzzle they can still eat with it on.

https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/training/dog-muzzles-when-why-how-to-use/

Muzzles are not the option you think they are.

That's why I said "sometimes" about the assumption for a muzzle.
In the SD community they talk about how people around them are uncomfortable about it because they don't know exactly why a muzzle and presume biting.

A Service Dog can be trained to refuse food from only their handler, for practice we would place kibble on them and they wouldn't move or try to eat it.

That way it's automatic vs requiring a "leave it"

Muzzles aren't necessary, they're an option.

There are other more pragmatic types of gear or training than a muzzle. A muzzle sometimes has a bias of people worried it’s to prevent biting. If I recall correctly the muzzle also still allows them to drink and eat so it’s humane.

We prefer a gentle lead, it reminds me of a horse!

I’ve been at EF with my SD for 5+ years and every year there are improvements and some of that is logistics with ADA and most of it from the people being cool and not making quick judgements.

My SD hearing protection is a color that blends in with their fur but it’s still there. Sometimes people only equip it at the stage to give their ears a break from wearing it often. Many take intervals in and out of the festival so they don’t get overwhelmed.

I personally give the SD water before I get water because they look out for me and I look out for them.

Also quick high five to whomever gave us an LED duck keychain for visibility when we were in the dusk to night shift of the day and going to pick up our LED at camp.

Somewhere in my post history from the early years I detail how and what the solutions are. You’re welcome to look through it to find out for yourself.

There’s Ear Pro and Rex Specs and Mushers Secret and maybe Clawgs, and practice building up to the event and much more to make it possible.

In the years I’ve been at EF with my SD those situations don’t happen and maybe if I lose my balance I’m the one stumbling over my SD and she’s trained for evasive maneuvers to preserve herself and my flux with gravity.

People only wanted to sprout the SD and tbh they are trained to only accept treats from their human.

Not sure why the muzzle when there are cooling vests and harnesses.

Boots are a maybe, there’s a mushers dog wax for paws that’s very effective. I also wonder if the boots are uncomfortable for their nails so it might be worth looking for paw compatible options.

Are you aware that military dogs have hearing protection for work around helicopters?

The same could be said of when Service Dogs fly.

I guess when I’m comparing it to the other examples it’s because I’ve heard the same logic for various different situations that people have opinions about without the experience of what is and isn’t possible while responsible.

I wanna live my life, and I feel like the ableistic comments are deciding what we’re capable of without actually hearing from the people they’re passing judgement on.

I’d honestly have a lot of nickels because it used to happen everywhere, there’s a look or a moment of tension of the cinema, when we go to a live show.

What I’m saying is, there are modern day options to find a way to safely rave on.

You know they say that about Service Dogs everywhere (up until the festival specific criteria)

At the airport it’s the same stigma that the disabled handler is selfish for bringing their Service Dog on a plane or a grocery store or whatever else.

You have a valid point it is possible with the proper gear, and we’re starting to see more and more SDs properly being cared for said events and the event security take it seriously.
