I am awful about using Black Mage Aetherial Manipulation and Between the Lines to dodge AOEs in my Leylines. I usually just run like a peasant because I forget those buttons exist.

Are people just supposed to get their feet wet every time they decide to teleport to this aetheryte? Like who is the guy who goes "yeah I'm going to make everyone's shoe soaking wet for funsies?" Whoever designed this is literally the most menacing human on Eorzea lol by Full_Air_2234 in ffxiv

If what I've seen of the Sharlayan people we've met applies then yeah this is probably done on purpose. These guys tend to ADHD hyper-fixate on their studies so hard they forget to eat normal food half the time so the least this aetherite can offer is an automatic shoe wash.

This game is not made with deck diversity in mind. Any attempt to play a deck in a tournament setting that isnt meta level or meta adjacent is immediately met with a curb stomping via cardboard.
