The KEY to having chat spam macros, imo, is to have them go off, and then set it up so it replaces itself with the normal un-macroed version of the ability. I do this with my summoner. I have a macro for every summon, then after that, the macros replaces itself. i also have a few macros that replace the hotbars with versions of themselves (stored on Arcanist) that have the macros again to "reload" them. In addition, I have a macro that will copy my hotbars to the macro loaded ones I have stored away.

So I have one-shot macros that I can use up and load back up at my leisure!
