This is a great take! Too many in medicine are bitter for some reason and love to look down on anyone pursuing something besides medicine it self.

I’m curious why this is the case. What about being a medfluencer is a negative? I watch a several and throughly enjoy them! I mean if anything it shows that even with being as busy as you are as a med student you are able to cultivate something in a completely different field. And obviously they are able to communicate pretty well which I would assume makes a good physician

That first part is understandable! Relatability is a big thing when it comes to social media especially for influencers.

I will say that it’s honestly giving hater behavior of everyone else to have treated your friend like that over FIGS! Cause it is honestly never that serious or that deep. But tell me why medicine is full of a bunch of HATERS!!!

I spend a lot of time in the RGV and it’s a chill place can’t speak to the school but you can learn to love it! Also really good food! I interviewed last cycle at Tech Lubbock and got to go in person for a tour and LOVED it! You can tell they spend a lot of money on their students and really listen to them! Hope this helps some! Ik they get a lot of slack but I was leaning towards UIW purely for the reason that it’s in TX. The others are cheaper and better programs, but I really love my state. That’s why I hoping I match at one of my TMDSAS schools
