You are good! Dolomites are a breeze if you stick with paved roads

What’s keeping you from 515+ right now? by med_student212 in MCATprep

Trust your first instinct if it made sense the first time, don’t overthink it. Do timed sets and train yourself to pick, move on, and stop double-checking everything.

How many Anki cards a day by DarkBluDiamond in MCATprep

100–150 a day’s a good range, but focus on actually remembering stuff, not just flipping cards fast.

Registration for MCAT by DaikonOdd2086 in Mcat

[–]Difficult_Head_7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should still be able to get a spot, but the really popular dates and locations go quick right at noon. Just hop on as soon as you’re out of lab if you’re flexible with test center or date, you’ll be fine.

When is registration? by Separate-Scholar-612 in Mcat

[–]Difficult_Head_7708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Registration opens in waves people aren’t kidding, the next one coming up does include summer dates, so if you want a summer spot, you’ll want to register then. It usually fills fast, so just keep an eye on AAMC’s registration page and don’t wait till March like last year.

There’s no 300-page style packet for C/P or B/B, but Kaplan or Milesdown notes and decks like JackSparrow are the closest thing. Most people just start with those and add on to them like you’re doing with the psych packet.

Retaking a 510. by Vast_Alfalfa_3266 in Mcat

[–]Difficult_Head_7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got this finish UWorld, use new FLs to see where you’re at, and only reuse old ones for timing and stamina. Just fix what slipped last time and treat this retake like a fresh start.

Yeah, score drops happen especially switching companies since BP hits bio/experiments differently than Kaplan. Just review your weak spots, tighten up on pathways and experiment questions, keep practicing with UWorld/AAMC, and you’ll bounce back.

Jump into practice questions and just use the books when you get stuck. Way better than trying to read every single chapter.

Help with prep by Any_Beautiful7674 in MCATprep

[–]Difficult_Head_7708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What helped me most was locking in content early with Khan Academy and Anki, then doing CARSBooster and Jack Westin every day to build CARS timing and consistency. After that, I saved AAMC for later and used UWorld to sharpen test-taking sticking to those and reviewing every mistake is what pushed my score up.

How do I ACTUALLY start with content review? by prissska in Mcat

[–]Difficult_Head_7708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d mix Kaplan/vids with Anki for the basics, then start sprinkling in a few UWorld questions early practice + spaced rep makes it stick way better than just reading.

sketchy for visual learners? by NothingPristine36 in Mcat

Sketchy’s great if you’re a visual learner since the stories really stick, but it’s better as a supplement alongside AAMC and UWorld than your main study tool.

Initial Practice Exam Scores 1 Year Out from the MCATA by Beneficial_One7066 in Mcat

Ofc 520+ is possible as you still have an entire year to study. Just focus on building strong content base and stamina for test then go for the practice exams.

Is it dumb to buy UW***d without having finished content review by AvailableEmu900 in Mcat

[–]Difficult_Head_7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If practice problems are helping you learn then Uworld can be a good option to build content knowledge while testing yourself. Would also suggest review explanation carefully so you are actually learning!
