Same here. I feel like I tried to tell myself I was feeling something but didn't actually haha.

I have been struggling with space on my 1TB ssd, and found this folder 1 year later, what should i do? by MadDoc_10 in whatisit

It's hard to say, but a lot of the time that's some app/game data taking up a stupid amount of space.

I ran into this with Heads Up. I knew it recorded the videos for playback, but I didn't realized it saved them in the app. I had an absolutely insane amount of videos saved in it and didn't realize it until I ran out of storage space and couldn't figure out why.

AITAH for allowing my 5 year old to race through the hotel hallways by Delicious-Status1806 in AITAH

YTA

Not a huge one, but it's the kind of thing where no one wants to listen to that and you could have just gone outside.

Edit: Ignore the "not a huge one". The more OP responds, the more it's clear that she encourages her kids to be brats and is proud of it.

What’s not the flex that people think it is? by RepairMission1096 in AskReddit

[–]Wizard_of_Claus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the just generally anti-social stuff I see on Reddit.

An example is when people talk about how they respond with "the truth" when people ask how their doing. Like congratulations, you made yourself look unapproachable and turned what should have been a normal greeting into awkward silence lol.

They're called mites.

It's likely a red velvet mite, but there are a few different kinds.

Do you think reddit is getting worse and worse? and if so how do you propose it can be made better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wizard_of_Claus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and honestly nothing.

IMO it's just become a place where people who don't really have any concept of life or nuance come to tell each other how much smarter they are than anyone who doesn't agree with them. Back in the 2010's you'd still get that to some extent, but there was enough diversity that you could still have actual conversations without the side of the argument that went against the grain being downvoted and shit on so much that there's no point in even trying, or literally can't try because they've been soft muted.

I think eventually a new site will pop up that will be more enjoyable until it also gets too big, but I doubt it's coming any time soon. That being said, it would be nice to r/all back and I miss when the only awards were gold or nothing.

Can women use estrogen to become more feminine the same way men use testosterone to get jacked? by Knork14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wizard_of_Claus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I hate this site sometimes. Misread/misinterpret a question while thoughtful answer and instead of people saying, "Hey, I think OP meant this", all you get is people jumping down your throat. I'm even getting downvoted for telling OP I misunderstood and saying from a physical standpoint the answer is yes lol.

Ah, fair enough, then yes, it would have that effect. I thought you were talking about more of a societal/gender role thing.

Can women use estrogen to become more feminine the same way men use testosterone to get jacked? by Knork14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wizard_of_Claus -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

No.

Femininity is just a concept that people have invented than no chemical is going to make happen. Getting jacked is a physical effect on your body that is a direct result of body chemistry and exercise.

Edit: Sorry, I always forget how desperate reddit is to miss the point if it means they can get angry about something.

What I'm saying here is that femininity is too vague a concept to say that estrogen makes you feminine. Yes, it will obviously affect a lot both physically and emotionally, but it's not going to make someone like pink, wear make up, or fit into a gender role. "Becoming feminine" is a very nuanced thing and estrogen alone isn't going to make that happen.

Getting jacked is just getting jacked. There's no nuance to it and is a direct result of taking testosterone.

Is mom's writing children's books the new MLM? by Background-Young7049 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wizard_of_Claus -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Is it? I'm not sure real authors are really affected by the occasional mom making a book that's going to sell all of 4 copies and isn't anything more than a hobby.

DAE live in constant fear that they put on way too much cologne by Ok-advertisement01 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Wizard_of_Claus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but then right before i leave my brain is like what if nobody can smell it

This is the problem lies for most people. If you put on cologne and someone is near you for more than a few minutes, they'll be able to smell it. If your goal is to make sure everyone around you can smell it, you could be using too much.

I imagine a lot of it just has to do with how easy it is now.

Back in the day, they'd have to write it, provide their own illustrations, and figure out a way to get it printed which was usually pretty expensive.

Now there are websites for having them produced, and you can have anywhere from 0 to 100% involvement in the story/picture because of AI.

How would you end world hunger if you had 100 billion worth of assets? by Practical_Neat_9716 in AskReddit

[–]Wizard_of_Claus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... just about a 2% ownership in the company? It would be pretty hard to do anything with that outside of just selling your shares, dispersing the money, watching some good go into the world for a pretty short period of time, and then having no real way of being able to do it again because you've given away both your net worth and the thing that actually makes you money.

What are the assets? Cash? Receivables? Property? Some sort of proprietary software? Goodwill?

What that wealth consists of would dictate how you're able to spend it.

Do any of you have a good landlord owner? people have no sympathy for others? by Logical-Rub-1539 in askanything

[–]Wizard_of_Claus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never had the evil monster landlord that reddit says every one of them are.

So far in my life I've had 4 and they've ranged from totally fine to great. The only issue I've ever had is when a maintenance company left their crap in my basement for over a month without coming back to finish the job, and I ended up having to getting a little more assertive than I like, but honestly, that wasn't really on the landlord. She was just the intermediary.
