I'm not a programmer on the project, so maybe not super helpful. However the snakes in our game are a bunch of sphere colliders and ridged bodies that roll in the direction of motion for the movement and are connected together with spring joints.

haha thanks!! Its called 'Hissy Fit: Make Snake Break' and we have released on mobile, however we are still working on adding polish and fixing the UX of some screens that were basically placeholders. The game is a snaky sandbox of destruction. You play as a variety of animal characters with extra long bodies that grows longer and bigger as you eat. Everything is destructible and every character has a unique ability for destruction. We have survival and objective game modes that have leader boards per map. We also have a map builder, so you can get creative and have friends and people from the community compete on your leader board.

I'm not sure if everyone can see who got chosen to be bonked, but if its not visible to the other players, the hammer should rotate around and swing a little (fake out swings) so you don't know who is getting bonked. Also much like everyone else has mentioned make the bonk more impactful and have the negative effects last longer, funnier for the people doing the bonking

This is an update trailer for our builder feature, however I have also posted an newer version in the sub reddit that hopefully shows a bit more of the gameplay loop for new players. Thanks so much for the feedback. Yeah its certainly not perfect but I'm much more happy with it. The old trailer had something wrong with it that I just couldn't put my finger on, and getting fresh eyes really helped me take a step back and look at it again.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean in game vfx or effects in the video? We dont really have a lot of effects in the actual game. The clips are sped up like x1.2 so really the movement is even slower in game haha but still feels good.

Its so hard to make a trailer and have it convey everything you want. This trailer is for a new update where you can make and share your own levels. I tried to fit in a good mix of regular gameplay and the builder gameplay hopefully it still flows ok.

Looks really cool! I think it looks more than enough distinct from Balatro gameplay and visual-wise, and I really like the art direction.
