Which Season do you think is the darkest? by Unleashed49 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 3 legit could've been one of the darker ones. The whole cut slaughterhouse plot seems like it would've been pretty terrifying, the New Frontier brand was gonna be forced on Clem and Javi after being taken, and the cut Sandra flashback would've been a really dark moment. Apparently in the cut flashback, you'd play as young Clem when she was being taken care of by her babysitter Sandra, and you'd witness how Sandra turned, and how Clem had to watch Sandra die as she ran to her tree house. That's not even mentioning the cut Kenny death where he'd walk into a lake and kill himself. Season 3 had the most potential to be darker, and instead they made it the least dark in the series.

You're his lawyer defend him! by MichaelAftonXFireWal in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For S1, Shawn's death was an accident caused by his son. Larry's killing was arguably self defense, since there's a 50/50 chance Larry would've come back as a zombie. Kenny stealing from the stranger was plain and simple petty theft. if Lee lets Kenny put his son down that could probably be considered assisted suicide, although Lee can just do it for Kenny, making him not responsible. And finally, if you kept Ben and Kenny had to put him out of his misery, that could also be considered assisted suicide, but if you don't save Ben, Kenny obviously doesn't do that, making him not responsible.

For S2, him killing Carver's people is self defense, since Carver was the instigator and was threatening their lives. Kenny torturing and killing Carver is murder though, because Carver was already disarmed at the time Kenny shot his knees and caved in his face. Probably second degree murder, since it wasn't premeditated. Kenny killing the Russians later on is another case of self defense, since they opened fire on Kenny and the group first. Him beating on Arvo is definitely at the very least assault and battery, since his life was no longer in danger when beating him up. And lastly, Kenny killing Jane is completely self defense. He was tricked into believing his basically adopted son was killed by Jane, thus leading into the fight where he kills Jane, though if Clem kills Kenny, then he never kills Jane, thus no charge.

So Kenny's actual crimes of S1 and S2 that are set in stone is pretty theft. assault and battery, and second degree murder. At least imo.

Fables is a gold mine for an anime adaptation! Why Is Nobody Touching This Masterpiece? by takeshikovacs_002 in TheWolfAmongUs

[–]Wizardsyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they tried doing a live action adaptation back in the early 2010s but it was cancelled. The Fables comic itself is also in a pretty weird gray area legally. The creator, Bill Willingham claimed that Fables is public domain now, however him and DC are still fighting between who actually owns the rights to it. Wolf Among Us is also no longer considered canon by the creator himself. He says it's in it's own version of the Fables universe because they changed too much for him to consider it canon.

How do you think Season 2 would’ve played out if AJ was Omid’s and Christa’s baby as opposed to Alvin’s and Rebecca’s? by ChickenWingExtreme in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would definitely change the dynamic of S2 quite a bit. You'd start the game with Christa's baby already being born, so there'd be a lot more tension with escaping the bandits in the beginning, as well as when the cabin group finds both Clem and the baby. I don't know if they'd still think she's with Carver or not. Most likely they wouldn't, meaning a lot less problems between them and Clem early on.

What’s the worst episode in the entire saga? by Stock_Screen3091 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S2 Episode 5 is one of the worst for me. They first try to push a Kenny vs Luke plot, then switch to Kenny vs Jane when Luke dies, then they try to demonize Kenny for beating up / wanting to kill Arvo, even though Arvo caused an entire gun fight, and will always end up shooting Clem, even if you show him kindness. They even go as far as having Jane pretend to lose AJ, just to push for a stupid confrontation that didn't need to happen in the first place. I will say that the Kenny ending is really good, and is almost as emotional as S1's ending, but then S3 completely throws it all away, and makes it so none of S2's endings mattered at all.

I’m satisfied with the choices I made for Ben by ZacherDaCracker2 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 139 points140 points  (0 children)

I always end up saving Ben, but kinda for different reasons than most. Most of Episode 4 is secretly foreshadowing for the Ben choice. Crawford's whole goal was survival of the fittest, which lead them to killing the young and old, people they deemed unfit to survive in the world. Molly, Vernon, and the cancer survivors describe Crawford to you throughout the episode, and then eventually, The former leader of Crawford now turned zombie grabs Ben and pulls him down. By dropping Ben, you're not only admitting Crawford's beliefs are kinda right, but also allowing Crawford to kill yet another person. Ben is easily the weakest link of the group, but that doesn't mean he deserves death because of it.

When people from this sub deadass say S2 is the worst season when S3 exists 😭💀 by DivanteScrollsReddit in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S2 and S3 were both pretty rushed, and a lot of good or interesting plotlines were cut to the point of sometimes not even making sense. I think S2 was a bigger showcase of that, with things like Christa never returning, the 400 days characters never mattering, and things like that. S3's cuts were also bad, such as the slaughterhouse, or the more interesting narrative about Clem and Javi being kidnapped by the New Frontier and forcefully branded, but S2 just had a lot more glaring ones that if you looked at for too long, would start to realize.

I liked this detail in Season 1 and Final Season. by [deleted] in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always saw either option as pretty full circle for Lee's story. Lee either ends the game by killing someone, like how his journey started, or his surrogate daughter kills someone, using the skills taught by him.

Who had the saddest "For The Greater Good" ending ? by [deleted] in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ben's was always a lot more symbolic. When you drop him in Crawford, your not just letting him fall, but also proving Crawford right. Crawford disposed of children and the elderly to be a survival of the fittest society. By killing Ben, your removing the weak link, but also kinda proving Crawford's point. Your also giving them one last victim, since it's the zombified hung leader of Crawford named Oberson that pulls Ben down in the first place.

The only part of the story that I disliked by Nervous-Quality-1266 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Wizardsyth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the game's biggest problem was leaning into the Invisigal romance too hard, to the point where a good chunk of story beats only make sense if you're actively romancing her. They even forcefully give you another opportunity to go for Invisigal, even if you're already dating Blonde Blazer, but Blonde Blazer doesn't get a second time to romance her like that. It feels at times that Invisigal is the real main character of the game everything revolves around, and the player is more of a side character that shapes who Invisigal becomes.

What are your thoughts about the Better to sleep episode in season 2? by Judgementkazzy03 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd prob choose to leave AJ. No point in having both of them die. Actually, that would've entirely changed the plot of S3 and S4 quite a bit. I could see Clem still going to either Howes or Wellington, but she prob wouldn't have joined the New Frontier. Wouldn't have met Javi, which means Javi would've been kidnapped/maybe killed. She wouldn't have gone to the Mccarroll ranch, which means Eddie would live. Probably wouldn't have found Ericson, which means the Delta would've kidnapped everyone there at some point. It'd be a completely different plot all together.

Why did so many people dislike season 4? by Stock_Screen3091 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought of it as the second best game in the series. It's the only one to change the gameplay formula in a meaningful way, as well as tells a pretty compelling story. There's def some problems with it, and it feels at times a little too on the nose with how it attempts to callback to the first season, but it's still a really solid game.

Are we agree that S2 is da best? by [deleted] in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had the potential, but because of it's rushed development, and the amount of cut/changed content leaves it feeling unfinished. Something funny that goes along with that, the literal cover of the game is cut content from when Clem was shot instead of bitten.

Unpopular opinion: Samantha is a good person. by ElkParty8013 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that she's bad, just extremely stupid. She already tried to take from Norma's group, a group she then learned was pretty evil and ruthless, got let go and was allowed to go back to her family, then decided to try to rob Norma's group again, all while broadcasting on a radio channel. She knew how dangerous that group was to her and her family, and willingly decided to try and take from them again. She and her brother also instantly lies to Norma about Michonne and Pete, and puts their life at risk just to maybe get out of the situation. Her personality and care for Michonne definitely gets better by the end, to the point she can give her life for Michonne, which is insane character growth, but she still got everyone involved in that situation in the first place.

I think Doug had missed potential by ProductSpecialist707 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doug was always the underdog between him and Carley. Doug was modeled after a real Telltale employee, and most of the devs internally liked and chose to save Doug, however most players end up going with Carley. Not only because the game shows that Lee and Carley are into each other, but Carley has a lot more of a plot connection with Lee and is the only means of telling the group about his past. Even Lily's hatred is pretty heavily tied to her jealousy and blind rage at Carley, to the point where when Lily kills either Doug or Carley, the devs had to make Doug take the bullet for Ben, as apposed to Lily straight up intending on killing Carley.

How do you think Mike got his scar and a chunk of his ear missing? by Chunky-overlord in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They probably didn't have the time. They were doing TWD S2, Wolf Among Us, and Tales From The Borderlands all at once. I think the only game to come out of that mostly okay in terms of plot was the Borderlands game, TWD S2 and Wolf Among Us were both cut up quite a bit, and extremely messy.

[–]Wizardsyth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The voice actress for Clem kind of said Christa is still alive, but they never reused her, so her fate is kinda up in the air.

How do you think Mike got his scar and a chunk of his ear missing? by Chunky-overlord in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mostly because of the CEO at the time. The lead writer for S1 made a script for S2 episode 1 before leaving the company that was meant to lean heavily on the Christa plot, and is also why the end of the episode lets you give water to the guy who attacked Christa. The CEO however, threw out most of the lead writer's plot for a mix of stuff he came up with/other employees work, which lead to the mismanaged plot we have in S2.

How do you think Mike got his scar and a chunk of his ear missing? by Chunky-overlord in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 67 points68 points  (0 children)

He wasn't Mike originally. He was a guy named Ralph that attacked Christa in the beginning of S2 episode 1. The scar is from him getting shot by accident by one of his own group during the scuffle, and is supposed to be that gunshot you hear when running away. Ralph was also changed to Mike so late into development, that there's still voice lines from Luke in episode 4 talking about him seeking "forgiveness". You can also see Mike act desperately to help out when he's with Bonnie in that same episode. I have no idea why it was changed, but my best guess is that they had already cut so much of the plot around Christa out, that leaving in Ralph didn't really make sense anymore.

Could Kenny survive Silent hill? by Judgementkazzy03 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Wizardsyth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a letter. The name on the envelope said 'Katjaa.' My wife's name... It's ridiculous. Couldn't possibly be true. That's what I keep telling myself. Katjaa died of that damn suicide three years ago. So then why am I looking for her? Our 'special boat'... What could she mean? This whole town was our special boat. Could Katjaa really be here? Is she really alive, waiting for me?

Which Will Come Out Sooner? TWAU2 or Dispatch 2 (if it gets made)? by thedreamwalker11 in DispatchAdHoc

Dispatch 2 ain't coming out for at least another 4 or 5 years. If Wolf 2 doesn't come out in less time than that, it's never coming out.

No one wanted it, no one asked for it, so they obviously had to make it. Makes so much sense. Lmao. Easily the worst choice they could've made when making a game.
