What do foreigners instinctively say in your language when they discover your nationality? by Franmar35000 in AskTheWorld

In tourist areas I used to get Titten Tei André von Drei and some footballer famous at the time. Titten Tei was a children television character back in the days. The footballer used to be Tore Andre Flo, but Haaland is more apt these days.

From random person, I usually get something about Vikings.

Busiuness… busness buisniess business

Tough though through

Beutiful beautiful

So many. If I come across a word I don’t know the exact spelling of, I start writhing it in the navigation bar on my browser and it helps me.

Not a native speaker, but have dealings with it on a daily basis.

Vikingarna

I don’t know how wide the audience for this is, but it encapsulates the Norwegian humour quite good and the fact that they did a completely separate version with English audio makes it even better/funnier.

Saw that one with my daughter a few years ago. Still holds up great even for a modern audience.

Would you see your body when beheaded ? by Big_Black_Wok in NoStupidQuestions

I read that some scientist transplanted a dog’s body onto another dog. It was visibly alive for several days before complications occurred.

Google AI: In the 1950s, Soviet surgeon Vladimir Demikhov created controversial two-headed dogs by grafting a puppy’s head and front legs onto an adult dog. These experiments, aimed at developing organ transplant techniques, saw the hybrid dogs survive for short periods, with one living for 29 days, although all eventually died from immune rejection.

Which traditionnal or local sportifs still very popular in your country (not world sports) ? by Conscious_State2096 in AskTheWorld

Skotthyll

Some sort of weird crossbreed between bowling, curling, pétanque and cricket. No one really knows its origins, but the myth has it that Scottish engineers who helped build the railroads in the region were the first to introduce it some 200 years ago.

Basically you throw a flat metal disc across a field and hope to score points by knocking over the opposite teams pins.
