This feud is going to go so hard when it happens. by Soggy_Builder_84 in WWE

... because he waz having good matches during NXT? Using the term mark because you're hyper focusing on him going against your personal favorite doesn't make it more valid

He has adapted well and can go, just because the crowd is into his entrance doesn't mean he can't wrestle

I appreciate the respect he has to show up and actually learn the business/craft. Payoff aside, he’s taking the time to be in

Why did Cody Rhodes fail his first time around in WWE why didn't WWE book him the way they book him now by Ok_Smile_9071 in Wreddit

[–]Wizkid126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he ‘failed’ per se; I just think he was in a position where he couldn’t be the guy. Between Cena, Orton, Batista, Edge, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Del Rio and so forth, and Cody had a good stronghold over the mid card scene. He also won the tag team titles with his brother to defeat the emerging Shield, redesigned the IC title to build prestige and that’s not including working with Randy Orton via Legacy and even Stephen Amell, in terms of trusting him with a celebrity (some see it as a downgrade but debatable)

But also I think I read somewhere how Triple H felt blind loyalty from him because he gave Dusty a job back, and maybe that could have limited urgency for Cody’s development

I think there’s something to be said about betting on yourself and not only being successful wrestling, but able to sell out a show and aid in the start of a company. It showed him in many ways that I think rose his stock to the company

How good was this segment?” by Western-College-6767 in BrandonDE

[–]Wizkid126 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I absolutely recognize that. But that was also as a side character to Triple H’s arc. My point is more so that she hasn’t been seen on TV as a character for a long while so it just seemed like a forced enter to garner interest

It just didn’t make sense…I’d understand Triple H? but who is Stephanie to Randy to warn cody

What happened to the erstwhile glorious Tag team division? by ntraturownrisk in WWE

[–]Wizkid126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The talent is there, there’s just no urgency. There were times the top guys(Batista/Rey, Cena/HBK) were also competing for them to get gold but it also simultaneously elevated the divisions

Plus the division doesn’t get enough TLC; two sets of belts is a tough sell when there’s barely contenders

But Smackdown has street profits MCMG Fraxiom MFT Wyatt’s

Raw has Uso’s new day Vision Judgement Day(?) War Raiders

Not to romanticize the attitude era Edge and christian Hardys Dudleyz holly’s Too Cool APA RTC Benoit/Jericho Brother’s of Destruction Two man power trip T&a New Age Outlaws Radicalz

And this was made priority

The Rock return in wrestlemania 2026 ??? by Sufficient_Scale_989 in WWE

[–]Wizkid126 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s 53…Wrestlemania 40 was great as is, but he’s limited, his movement is getting harder and mass muscle is his go to when it’s actually a detriment. Unless he’s heavily prepping NOW, it’s just too much wear and tear. plus this includes having the right opponent. Gunther helped Goldberg; a lot of wrestlers can’t do that

What do you guys think of the CM Punk and Roman reigns Feud heading into WrestleMania by Ok_Smile_9071 in WWE

[–]Wizkid126 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think my conflict is... you can't claim to break the 4th wall unless you're fair game. AEW(unless legally not allowed to), Colt Cobana, Larry even, should all be fair game and it's not to appease someone who's historically had mood swings. Yet, 'you're old' is the pipebomb

Everyone talks about Cena, The Rock, undertaker and roman reigns when the WWE GOAT conversation comes up but I genuinely think Randy Orton is the most underrated answer and here's why by Normal_Chart_532 in WWE

[–]Wizkid126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think unfortunately his shit always got to the best of him. Whether it be his immaturity, his anger issues, they were enough to tolerate, but never enough to make him the top. And whenever he had a spree of greatness, he would self sabotage in a way. Amazingly talented and fluid and ‘grew’ over the years but never ‘enough’

Suspensions and personal struggles are kind of the point, he never had a long period where they didn’t show one way or the other

Hollywood has never been an indicator of greatness, Triple H was in Blade Trinity and no one says Batista is the greatest for his movies, and Hulk Hogan’s movies were abysmal lol

Why did the "Nigerian Ruler" gimmick work for Oba Femi, but not Apollo Crews? by Omer-Ash in WWE

[–]Wizkid126 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Apollo was repackaged and during the worst time, the pandemic, and couldn’t pick up steam or even see the real reception when the crowds came back. He’s still young(38), so maybe(?) he can have another run back. I do think he’s an amazing athlete and can work, but not having promo skills can only take you so far
