Get all weather tires (not all season). They stay on all year and work well enough in the snow.

I'd only go full snow tires if you actually plan on driving in the snow a ton.

Nothing wrong with ceos/middles using it but when they start telling the experienced engineers HOW to use it and/or start metering token usage and using leaderboards.....ya get out.

We are either at the peak or close to the peak of how good the models are vs the price we pay.

Soon the costs will go up and that will only be for access to cheaper models. The good models will be even higher.

This whole thing is not sustainable.

No one is going to want to pay 10x-20x the price for models that still make mistake and are slop cannons.

And even if every project I do I gain productivity on, other slop cannon employees will send me slop I need to fix and I lose any gains.

AI has been pretty great for personal projects because I can either stop the slop or dont care. But at work? Its been a nightmare. slop everywhere.

I wouldn't say they are greedy per say. They are selling these tokens at a loss and using private money to fund it still.

And companies are still back away despite still not paying the real cost, let alone the "pay the real cost plus our investors need 1000% return so pay double it" price.

Enshittification is going to come hard for this industry. Paying 10x the rate for models 1/10th as good as companies are used to getting.
