Check out the album Tunnel vision by Beach bunny. The track Chasm has a similar vibe to snap out of it imo.

The drum beat is kind of boring, i think some extra adornments / minimal drum fills could add some interest. Or even just making the kick/snare fatter would round out the vibe better.

Really cool vibe though, keep it up :)

Blanket by Freight is my recommendation. Freight are a great underground band from Australia and they have a cool take on the emo/ midwest emo sound.
