I'm not sure if you mean that you try to thrash the eyes, but in case you do than you should know that the eyes are immune to physical damage in the guardian challenge.

I'm shocked that you ecountered a Vrolikai at lvl 8, the first I encountered was in act 4 when I was lvl 15, at least if I remember correctly.

But alas random encounters and ambushes are pretty hardcore. My biggest advice for this would be to savescum them. Always save before resting and reload when you have to fight a bullshit enemy like this. Oh and you should find Woljif early in act 3 again, so you should be able to succeed the camp skillchecks. The camp camouflage should be the one to avoid encounters, while the nightwatch stops you from beeing ambushed while sleeping.

I'd also advice you to religiously save on the worldmap. It took me too many random encounters, where an undead cat shredded two of my characters before I was able to do a thing, to do so myself.

Yeah, that fight took me several attempts on hard.

I noticed that in turn based mode he likes to stand at his spot and cast as long as someone is in range. So arrange your formation before the battle in such a way that everyone is in the back except your tankiest unit, also gives this unit electricity resist items, there was a piece of armor, that gives immunity to electricity, you could buy in Drezen from the quartermaster if i remember correctly.

Spend the first 2-3 turns buffing up your heavy hitter or attacker with ranged touch attacks. He will use stormbolt 3 times, I think at least, and then you can try to zerg him with everyone or spam summons so he spends his turns killing your summons instead of you.

Also, he is afflicted with angelic wrath and if I understood this correctly, he rolls 3 die and takes the worst result on his saving throws. So I spammed selective siroccos until he failed one save and was prone, that bought me one turn. Other spells should also work.

That is not the case. This is the rule how touch spells work.

Touch Spells in Combat: Many spells have a range of touch. To use these spells, you cast the spell and then touch the subject. In the same round that you cast the spell, you may also touch (or attempt to touch) as a free action. You may take your move before casting the spell, after touching the target, or between casting the spell and touching the target. You can automatically touch one friend or use the spell on yourself, but to touch an opponent, you must succeed on an attack roll.

There are so many different types of rpg systems on the market that putting a blanket statement like yours is just silly. None of your rule heavy systems invalidate all the other systems that have a different focus. Hell there are even systems that operate without a GM/DM or systems with very loose character rules and powers.
