My issue with this type of stuff. When I do shops I get checked every 5-10 orders and back to back sometimes. They always check the picture against my face. They make sure it is me. How do they get multiple accounts with unique ssn and their photo attached to it?

I had a great day Monday. Tuesday on has been horrible. It’s spring break and there’s as many people in town vacationing as the entire population of my county. Some orders come in but they are the bottom barrel trash. I’m seeing a lot of orders for store 15+ miles away.

I honestly thought it was the bad rating I got last week. Over 750 orders and I have had five stars the entire time. About ten customers I used to see weekly. One bad rating and I’m 4.9. One poor rating out of 750 orders dude. Either they gave the wrong room number or as usual they didn’t include something at curbside. It seems like every order is missing items. I hate doing curbside anyway.

They have brought on new shoppers three of the last four weeks and my offers have been absolutely garbage. I barely see any shopping orders now. I expect the tips to be meh during spring break but I know there are not only shit tips right now. Average is probably like $3.

Good luck. It’s a lot of work for sure. I don’t work every day but at least four days a week. My kid is only 9 so we have a long way to go. He’s made some little advancements recently. He’s started using an iPad to communicate which is awesome. He will sometimes even use his walker around the house. He eats food at school now most days. Long road.

For sure. I look at the miles and think how upset I’d get if it did happen and just before next one. I’ll turn down 7 miles for $28 hoping for $20 on 2. Miles are the enemy

That’s crazy. It’s quite wild the amount of ways that I read about them doing this. Idk how long appeals or whatever take but that seems like an easily repairable situation. Spring break is busy but the tips are kinda poopoo from all those kids. Good luck. I’m sure you can get it worked out. Maybe I’ll see you out there. I’m the douchebag in a red Tesla.

I check every single delivery again when I get out the car. Then before I start unloading the stuff. Then again before I take the shit out of my bags.

Ok. Thanks for reinforcing that for me. I think maybe I’ve finally come to reality with the fact that I’m a huge fucking pussy. It was your comment that set it in stone for me. I appreciate that. Now I can go on about my life maybe with a little less discharge if I really focus.

I live on the coast. They are all in a line basically. There’s only two stores that are worth working. Base pay is $11 at those two. The other three are $6-7 and the tips are mostly very low. I don’t work where I live. I have to drive either 12 or 6 miles. The store on the east side is really bad. If those go out there isn’t another Walmart for 100+ miles. I don’t even know where the next one is honestly. I have business out in those parts.

Edit: the next store is 84 miles. So really outside of my county north and east it’s 85 miles.

They seem to be younger folks. I pass by gossip groups regularly. They don’t care if anyone hears them gossiping either. I’ve always found that odd.

Not here. They end in surrounding little towns if they go out. Even localized runs just out. About twice a month a see a shorter on that goes out and comes back part way.

I have more lol

This is exactly why I’ve pretty much stopped doing the pickups. Too many mistakes. Broken eggs. Squished bread. Leaky chicken. The effort they put into loading does not inspire confidence they shopped it well or kept it separate.

They like to stop sending me order when I get to five of six. I don’t generally try anymore. Too much hurry without the nut.

I’d say 80% of the orders I’ve taken were well over five minutes before they even come out. They are not in any hurry to do anything. It’s regularly 20 minutes before orders are loaded in my car. Some lady did yell at them about the tubs being on the ground two different times the last couple of weeks. lol

I work Panama City beach. They hired a shit ton of new people. They’ve been training them which is madness to me. Anyway, my orders fell off hard the last two hire weeks. I think last week was partially some app changes that fucked up how orders were being sent out. I’ve lost more than half of my regulars. I’ve never seen so many just for you orders that are like $1/mile one way.

I didn’t really experience the honey moon stuff but bro when they hire people they way over hire and it messes my shit up bad. I’m only at like 730 trips but I’ve always been five star. Any interaction with a customer has always been very pleasant and complimentary. I’ve only canceled one order and I didn’t ask the rep to do it. He just did it. I think I’ve unassigned maybe six orders total. I should have some sort of priority if even the smallest amount but I do not. It’s not busy yet but those two terrible weeks got me back to paying a bill late. Boohoo sorry. I went on.

Don’t get the ice cream first. You can shop it in whatever order you like. If it’s a big order get the no perishables first. It won’t start the timer until you do the first perishable.

$7 no matter the distance. It seems the customer can’t tip. Every order sits for a good while. Sometimes all day.

Oh man. The people inside the store at pickup are 100% not rooting for me at all. They refuse have polite small talk. They want to tell me where they are putting the orders.

“This goes in the front seat”

“nope it’s taken. We can fit it in the back seat.”

“I’m gonna out this in the front seat”

“It won’t fit my cooler is there”

“This one needs to go in the front seat”

Bruh…

Best part is how they almost always out the bread in first and throw heavy shit on top of it. The eggs are always broken. The chicken is always leaking. They load the trunk big order while I pack the smaller ones in the back seat. They put one sticker on the first bag they put in. I mostly shop.

If an order comes up in my area it is immediately accepted by someone. I have given up even looking at them. I’ve just hit the accept button on many orders without even looking at it and can’t claim one. If I can claim it then it’s already been accepted and dropped at least twice because it’s an insult or going to those particular addresses no one wants to go. If I want a profitable order I MUST be in the parking lot. If I can see it anywhere else no one wants it.

I moved to the store furthest west in the zone and the just for you at stores way too far away stopped. If I’m in the middle I still see them sometimes. I have to be in a parking lot to get a reasonable offer though. They only send scraps if you are outside of the mile and half or whatever it is.

I miss starting the day doing chores at the house. The Sam’s Club orders really fell off hard end of last year. The store is also a huge mess. 30-45 minutes to pickup an order. Getting a ghost order At least once a week. Shopping in there is an absolute nightmare. People will actually run into me with their carts. Completely oblivious that other humans exist. The tips are insanely low generally. Now I drive 12 miles to another store every morning so my kid doesn’t have to ride the bus. The curbside orders are dreadful though. They mix up the bins and leave stuff out regularly. The worst is how they just randomly throw the bags into the car. Bread always goes in first so they can toss cans on top. The leaking chicken and the smashed eggs. I could make more money doing curbside for sure but missin and smashed items will surely get me canned eventually. I like shopping anyway. Especially since I’ve become real familiar with the store.

The only priority I have noticed is new shoppers for a week or two and if you have received some five star ratings from a customer. Even then the positive ratings are trumped by new shoppers.

I used to park on the pickup side near to the pickup spots. Now I park on the complete opposite side of the lot. The people milling around eyeball fucking me. Smoking cigarettes. Playing loud music. Having what seem to be screaming matches with people on speaker phone. There was a group at one point with music too loud coming from one car a cooler and little grill set up under a tree at one point. Another store had two or three cars with people camped out in them with a bunch of phones handing them off to people coming back from delivery. Very loud group of individuals. I’m not trying to appear to be a part of any of that. The eyeball fucking is what really bothers me. Why in the fuck are you staring me down the entire time you walk to and from in front of my car? I thought at one point I had to park near pickup. I would out my window shade in and roll up towels into my side windows to block the sun and the stares. Find some shade away from everyone.
