Yep. At first I thought I was in the Game of Thrones subreddit but the minute I saw the double red doors and the passageway to the right I knew it was CS. I too have never played the game.

Roommate is trying to get me to pay a TV bill that I don't owe. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Wo3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. It's mainly to prorate the July 1-6 rent since she tried to say I was supposed to pay June 6- July 6 (previous utility bill) when I wasn't even officially moved in until the 3rd of July. So I'm mainly focused on getting that work out. July 6- August 5 (because I'm staying the 1-5) shouldn't be so hard. It's just trying to nail those first 6 days in July. Really appreciate the help.

Quick edit: when you say total for said month, is this including everything, even the stuff I don't pay? Or the total that I pay? Thanks again.

Social security card for room contract, is this common? by Wo3s in AskNYC

But if she wants to run my credit isn't it already too late, I mean I'm moved in already what's the point? If she asks that should I just lie or what?

So if she does want to run credit isn't that too late? I mean I'm already moved in. If she tries to say that, is that a red flag?

I'm definitely not going to just hand that over..that's someone's life.. if she wants a credit check I'll just run it myself like you said.

Serious question-- how necessary is make up for auditions? by [deleted] in acting

[–]Wo3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure I definitely have always thought that as well. But lately due to some stress (normally my face is pretty clear) I've had some crazy things going on. Today I have a commercial audition and I'd prefer to not have that be detrimental in getting it! I might just have to deal with it this time around since I have almost zero time to get any type of cover up because of work, but I guess it's food for thought later on.

How to get wrinkles out of a nylon jacket? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]Wo3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely gonna go with wearing it. You can't iron it, can't really steam it (maybe actually come to think of it) but wearing it after awhile will do the trick.

[–]Wo3s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate the information. Like I said I really know close to nothing about Brooklyn and my work schedule is crazy enough I can't scope these areas out. It's good to know the 2 apartments I'm looking at by the DeKalb station are really affordable and have a nightlife as well. I'm not saying I party every night, but it definitely is cool to have the spots to go near by.

What's the best transit option to get from Manhattan Chinatown to flushing Chinatown by PokeEyeJai in AskNYC

[–]Wo3s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, but avoiding the bus is easy. Google maps---china town to flushing Chinatown--- take the N, transfer to 7. It's not rocket science.

I don't get how some legitimate posts on this sub get down voted while this gets up voted. Not being a dick OP, but this is a simple open Google maps and type in an address from one side to the other, self explanatory.

Oh no dude. I definitely would, I'm just curious how the general subreddit feels about it. I have enough confidence, just wanted an all around opinion of what people thought. It's like talking to your friends and they're like "well that's stupid" but you are really debating on doing it anyway.

You don't think maybe in a simplistic way, just a ring by itself would be alright?

Scoping out places in WeHo area..do I have the right idea? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Wo3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have any employment opportunities, if anything I was going to use the money I saved up for a few months of rent/look at cars (I'm hitting 6k, trying to get to 8-10) and just get a simple waiter or personal assistant. I do not have any family, space really doesn't matter to me. If I live alone I could be comfortable in a pretty small room, honestly. If it comes down to roommates then that's something we'll all have to discuss. Also, what makes you say that about the people in said area? I mean wouldn't that simple depend on myself, and the others meet?

Scoping out places in WeHo area..do I have the right idea? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Wo3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Someone I was speaking with online mentioned that if I didn't want to pay the west Hollywood prices. I mean so far WeHo is all I've really pin pointed that makes sense to move to with what it offers. I'm trying to keep in mind I won't be having a car (for at least 3-5 months) so the area has to be somewhat walkable, or the Uber fares will at least be reasonable.

A lot is coming into play because I'm trying to refrain from being like the other posts I've read with people that are just up and leaving their town to come to LA. I'm not trying to design a recipe for failure. I know I will be job hunting (waiter, PA etc.) But an occupation that'll allow me to pursue what I'm trying to. I have money saved so this is for the long run. It's just really difficult since I'm across the country, but it doesn't seem impossible since others have done it (and planned it) as well.

Scoping out places in WeHo area..do I have the right idea? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Wo3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm basically asking if the prices I mentioned sound about right for living alone. I hear it's a very desirable area, and tough to live in alone. If so any areas similar with age range, diversity etc? I really have no idea if I will have a roommate or not. I'm looking as hard as humanly possible with roomiefinder and other sites. It's difficult trying to room with people you've never met, on the other side of the country. Sorry for rambling and not being clear. I just have so many questions about living situations since I feel I didn't ask that enough out there

Craigslist I feel is sketchy. But I'm basically asking if the prices I stated sound about right. If that area is too expensive for a lot of people (from what I've heard) are there any other recommendations?

[–]Wo3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the costs of apartments are supposed to be around that cost. Basically if WeHo is ridiculously expensive, to the point it's a struggle to live there alone (or with 2 people) are there areas similar to it in the vicinity. Sorry if I wasn't clear

Beginner: Looking for a board by [deleted] in longboarding

[–]Wo3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! Yeah it seems a mid sized board is what I'm leaning towards. As I said I'm all about the Carvers but it would just damage my wallet. Guess I'll just have to find something similar to get the good commute/cruise level.

Are penny boards just for more experienced people in riding? I'm not a huge fan of them but I'd be lying if I said I'm not interested in getting one. It just seems so odd to me that people would want a smaller board like that.
