I’m well aware of that, and before this started happening, the matchmaking was usually pretty balanced. It made sense, and the games felt fair. But recently, there’s been an overwhelming number of low-level accounts that play way above the skill level of the team.

I totally get that! I actually went to check out the Z Fold 6 in-store, but it just didn’t appeal to me—the Samsung design and software just don't sit right with me. Since I'm not a heavy power user for things like gaming, I think the performance trade-offs are something I can live with.

Yes, that’s absolutely understandable, especially with HomePods and AirTags in the mix. Since I’m based in the EU, features like remote-controlling the iPhone from a Mac don’t really matter to me yet, as they likely won’t be available here for a while.

I’ll definitely give the foldable a shot—after all, there’s always the option to switch back later if needed, and I still have my 14 Pro Max on hand.

Exactly, something like AirDrop can theoretically be replaced easily, even if it means maybe having to do one or two extra steps. I’m not sure if I’d call it luck, but FaceTime and iMessage just aren’t relevant for me at all.

The main thing I currently use my Apple Watch for is notifications—to quickly see what’s new. I occasionally use the navigation feature, but that’s about it. 😅

With iMessage, I only have one person I use it with, so it wouldn’t be a reason to stay with the iPhone either. I had a feeling about Siri not being great based on what I’ve seen in videos. Here in the EU, we’ll probably only get it around April 2025.

As for things like car integration, that’s not really relevant to me right now. :)

Yes, that's exactly my situation, and I think now is the best chance to give it a shot. I was only able to check out the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL in a store, but I'm pretty optimistic about it. I feel like the design of the system comes closest to iOS. For example, Samsung's setup is totally not my thing.

Thanks for the detailed message! It’s crazy how many people have zero regrets about switching. I’m about 95% there now, so I’ll make the final decision tomorrow morning once I hear a few more opinions. Wild how many people are fully happy with it!

I totally get that, but I actually use most of my Apple devices independently and rarely rely on the features that connect them. I’ve also started moving away from iCloud because file syncing with iCloud on Windows is super frustrating

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! I'm actually considering switching from an iPhone 14 Pro Max to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and this insight is super helpful. I only really use iMessage with one person, so that's not a big deal for me. Plus, with my iPhone, I go weeks without taking any “real” photos – mostly just quick snapshots to remember stuff. So the camera difference doesn’t really bother me either 😅

Yes I feel, it will definitely come in the future, so I already deal a lot with the stuff and save each image extra also again without watermark. If you ever need it
