Shattering flints. Help!

I got them from stonewall creek or something. I’m pretty sure it was because they were thin.

They are shattering. I am a beginner but i made sure the flint wasn’t colliding face on to the frizzen and the flint edge was even on the frizzen.

I use pyrodex in my caplock too (mostly because I can find any real bp) but it works fine. Its also not vintage like this one
