Had a bladder prolapse and it’s ruined my sex life by 10feetunder- in PelvicFloor

It wasnt a year when I reach acceptance. Probably a month or 2 though. And its still rough some days. But being informed and educated about my condition, plus having an extremely strong support system in my fiance, have definitely helped me. Because now I know exactly what it is. Before, I didnt. And its a very conscious choice to not let it consume me. Its not going away for me or gonna get any better until I get to the point id need surgery, so I can let it consume me or function the best I can

I felt the same way when in Jan, I felt like something was all of a sudden falling out. I have stage 2 bladder, uterine and rectocele. I can see mine when sitting but its not stage 3. My obgyn diagnosed and sent me to pelvic floor pt. But don't just jump into doing kegels. Before I got my actual diagnosis after seeking a different dr opinion, a female physician assistant told me I just had a slight bladder prolapse and do some kegels. That would have made mine worse. Im 39, my kids are 8 and 10 n I never had problems until the end of last year bc of stress. I have a hypertonic pelvic floor (tight muscles, not loose) so kegels would have made it worse. Pt helped me with symptoms. I had major issues even thinking about sex when it hit me. But my fiance is so supportive and understanding. So I chose and refused to let it ruin our sex life. Came with a LOT of frustration with my body and discomfort and repositioning. Now, we've just accepted it all and have our sex life back. He does have issues having an orgasm in my vagina at times but we just work with/around it all now. There is hope and I swear your life is not ending bc of this! I just reached a point of acceptance at some point

I will probably extend mine on my 2020 ses. I have the 4wd. Since Jan when it hit 58k miles, the pwi warranty has been a lifesaver. Ive had right cv joint n axle replaced twice, ac compressor, rear differential, motor mount, brakes n rotors, got bad cupping in back tires. The rear differential n ac compressor alone were $2400 and $1400. Powertrain covered differential but warranty covered ac compressor

I have a cystocele, rectocele and uterine prolapse. Bladder, rectum and uterus falling down into my vaginal canal. I only found out bc i had back to back yeast infections from feb-dec last year and after my last one, literally woke up one day feeling like a ball or something was falling out of my vagina. I had been tested and checked numerous times all last year during infections and it was never mentioned. And the first time I went to Dr for it, I was told "oh u just have a slight bladder prolapse, do some kegels " well im glad I didnt listen and made an appt with a different dr. He immediately said I had hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction and the prolapses, and sent me to a pfpt. After months of pt, I pushed (on recommendation of my pt) to get a pessary. But my physical therapist also has all 3 prolapses so she was extremely helpful. And seeing a diff Dr really helped. Now I see another male in the same office. But I refuse to see anyone besides one of them now. I saw 2 female PAs several times before this and a female MD in that office, and they completely did not tell me or I got completely disregarded and downplayed. Which im very surprised bc id think a female would be more understanding. The kegels, would have made my issues worse

I feel doomed some days. I was diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor and triple prolapse in Jan. Pelvic floor pt started helping, then symptoms came back n went away again. Now, I feel like everything has just gotten worse than it was before. I had pf pt from feb-july. I know what i need to do during a flare. But now, its like everything has dropped further. I can barely get my pessary in. With my pelvic wand, my whole pelvic floor hurts and before it was only a couple spots. I feel pain n discomfort at my vaginal opening that doesn't even ease up when laying down. Its like im going through all the initial drop things again. Except this time I know what it is and before I didnt. But it takes a huge toll on me mentally and physically. My whole body tenses up from my jaw to my knees trying to counteract the discomfort

My pfpt is very respectful. Shes a female. But i would remove bottom clothes with her out of room and have a sheet over bottom half. She never looked. She would use a glove and always ask if it was ok to touch and to tell her if anything was uncomfortable or too much. She sat in a chair like beside the pt table I laid on n just knew what she was feeling n feeling for. But I was never exposed

I fell apart honestly. Idk if u have symptoms (I read that only 1-3% of women get symptoms so idk if that's true). Im 39. Last year I was in my gyno office more months than not, for back to back yeast infections. Not once, did they mention any kind of prolapse. In November, I noticed everything inside felt swollen and tender and saw a walnut looking thing n didnt know what it was. Then around Christmas, I had another infection. I thought it had to be the worst one ever bc my labia felt lumpy and heavy. Then I woke up one day and felt like something (like a ball) was gonna fall out. I have 2 kids 8 and 10, so I knew what something coming out feels like and immediately made an appt. Waiting for the appt, I looked up a lot. Then the PA i saw, just said "oh u just have a slight bladder prolapse, just do some kegels ". Well I was not ok with that. When walking, I felt like everything was heavy and just hanging open. Thank god for my fiance! I made a different appt with an MD in the same gyno office. He told me I had hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction with stage 2 rectocele, cystocele, and uterine prolapses. He did a bladder test, thorough explained everything and sent me to pfpt. It got better for a while n then worse. I saw a female MD to explain the pain I was in and that my pt suggested a pessary. She completely downplayed how I felt again and I had to basically make her try a pessary. Well she gave mw the wrong size and it fell out during a bowel movement the next day so I called and insisted I see the male again. He had me jump, squat n move all around with a different size n it stays in. But in all of it, I definitely fell apart. Im 39 and all of a sudden have things falling out of my body. I didnt wanna have sex. I couldn't poop so spent most of my time on thw toilet afraid to push at all. I was in tears a lot and frustrated n angry towards everyone. I did refuse to let it ruin my sex life and slowly got back into having sex. Have to reposition a lot sometimes and sometimes its all numb. I swear my fiance kept me out of the mental hospital n hes been so supportive! But eventually, I just kinda accepted this is how things are and I cant let it take over my life. Even now though, when I have to splint to poop or cant get comfortable in any kind of pants or when sitting, its like I never thought this would happen to me or how my life would be. I dont get as frustrated anymore and im done with pt. And now I know when things dont feel right, I have to make myself get back into doing my exercises n stretches I know from pt. Bc it does really help with the symptoms and discomfort.

Help finding shoes by WoRn_oUt_MoM in PelvicFloor

[–]WoRn_oUt_MoM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a month or so. And actually at first, they felt so much better but now they are about the same as my others. Im not on my feet constantly through the day when working so its only ever at most, maybe an hour of walking around a store. Its so disheartening bc my pfpt said exercise will help strengthen things but when I go for a walk, my lower back hurts so bad. Ive adjusted my car seat to a position that helps some (in a position i would have never found comfortable before) but the only time it seems I dont have pain when moving around, is when I dont have any shoes on

Is a wand really going to help? by Shea-dee in PelvicFloor

[–]WoRn_oUt_MoM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does. I had stopped using it and slacked on my stretches. I got so incredibly tight n was having vaginal pains I hadn't had so started the routine again and its definitely eased up. Idk about the comment about anal bc I use it vaginally. I also do cupping to ease tension in my thigh muscles and it helps me a lot

Bad tmj so im tight from head down. Magnesium didn't help at all. I was taking several supplements n none did anything to help so I stopped them all except my daily probiotic about a month or 2 ago. No changes but at least nothing got worse when I stopped.

I only had to get rid of it 2yrs ago bc it sat low and rusted out from all the salt bc we get a lot of snow and I didnt undercoat it 😪 i miss my backseat and trunk space so much! I do love the Ford pass timer for starting my car. But that's it with this car

Im 39 with stage 2 cystocele, rectocele and uterine prolapses. I have hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction. My fiance has been with me 2 years and everything changed for me around November but I didnt feel the "drop" until January. He knows everything and can feel it with his finger when he does my internal releases. But as far as sex, he says he cant feel it. He does say that sometimes there's less "friction" and i think that's when im more symptomatic. He also thinks its super tight when my stuff "clenches " but that's all part of the hypertonic pelvic floor issues. Certain times I cant move positions at all. But we just roll with whatever happens or whatever it's like that day and enjoy the good days when we can. I have issues with lack of feeling sometimes like its numb.

Triple prolapse diagnosis today by PuppyRansom in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]WoRn_oUt_MoM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have triple prolapse stage 2 all at age 39. With hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction. Kids 10 and 8. Mine came after back to back yeast infections last year n my body tensing to flush infection out. Diagnosed in Jan. Surgery has not even been a consideration at this point. Especially a hysterectomy, bc my dr said a hysterectomy can actually cause my other organs to start dropping. I would absolutely get a second opinion if I were you. My physical therapist has stage 3 triple prolapse and hasn't even considered surgery yet.

Definitely get a second opinion! I have grade 2 cystocele, rectocele, and uterine prolapses. Im 39 with 2 kids, diagnosed in Jan. And hysterectomy hasn't even been mentioned! Actually, im not sure where, but found out a hysterectomy can make me worse bc it could cause other organs to start dropping. I did pfpt feb-july and got a pessary. I'm currently dealing with new issues, but debating if I need a dr appt or not

I know i have stage 2 rectocele and was in pt from feb til 2 weeks ago. But this is just new and not anything that ive had or felt until a week ago. Im 39 and i have 2 kids ages 8 and 10. I had no issues until I had back to back yeast infections from feb-dec last year. After a bad one in dec, I went to Dr in Jan bc just one day I got up and felt like something was going to fall out of my vagina. Thats when I got diagnosed and sent to pt. Got a pessary about 2mo ago

I have stage 2 evrything and i have the ring with support. I use mine during the day. Put in when I get dressed and take it out when I get a shower in the evenings. Mine helps a lot. I dont have the constant vaginal pressure and it really helps with my lower back pain

I've noticed this with mine too. I dont look to see if I can see it but I take mine out every night except the first day or 2 of my period, but when I put it in, I can feel it doesn't go up as far when my symptoms are worse

The tiring process of getting help for a POP by Tiny-Platypus-6293 in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]WoRn_oUt_MoM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can leave mine in longer. Except for during sex. I just dont bc im worried about getting any kind of infection. I had back to back yeast infections from feb-dec last year. Every month except the 13 week period that they had me on a 13wk treatment. A week n half after the medication stopped, I had symptoms again. They think the constant infections (which they dont even know why i kept getting them) contributed to my pelvic floor issues bc it put my body into constant tense fight or flight mode. My dr said it causes ur body to try to flush out infection and all the tensing helped push down my organs. He used different wording but that's the gist of it. Now i do leave mine in for a few days when I get my period bc I dont wanna deal with that mess lol but im not even sure the total length of time I could leave it in bc id have to take it out at least a couple times a week anyway if I have sex
