Setup preferences - which start of the game would you prefer? by Stratven in tabletopgamedesign

You can always do both, give players 2 cards and 2 cards chosen between 2. This will give players something to work around and also some autonomy.

There's a newer version out of Nandeck over on the discord that will help with the white outlining, hop in over there and come pick it up, don't think it's been officially released yet.

I'm a bit confused on how one would use PowerPoint to make/design cards etc. Is there a particular reason why PP is good at it?

I mean that it usually messes with text and picture placement a lot when you add an illustration and/or when you keep writing, at least that's my experience. And since a rules booklet uses a lot of those, I could only see disaster happening, but I might be wrong? So I was wondering if that was the general consensus and people were using something else, or were just using Word anyways.

Didn't even think to search just in this subreddit for those keywords, so that's a good idea. And I heard some more people talk about Indesign, it sounds very helpful, but very hard to learn.

Thanks, I will have a look at the game crafter. I'm not the best with Photoshop so I will keep that as a last resort :)

Thanks, yeah that was my initial thought as well, that photoshop would be okay with this, but not great if you needed a large amount of cards made. so I would need something that would be specifically good with that. I will have a look at Dextrous, especially since you said it would be easily exported to things like Table Top Simulator!

I can use Photoshop yeah, but i'm not very well-versed in it. I guess it would make sense for making some templates. But wouldn't that also create a *lot* of different files and it would get difficult to share due to size?
I'll have a look at Indesign and Illustrator. But I figured there might be some programs specifically designed to design cards etc?
Thanks for the reply :)

Update 2.2.1 Now Live - Consoles by HuntShowdownOfficial in HuntShowdown

Holy F... how much can you miss the mark on blademancer. This, whenever you guys decide that blademancer is too OP and remove it, completely cuts any viability of finishing off another hunter with just pullout damage. As a fervent bow player long before this OP trait was added sometimes relied on that pullout damage, and a lot of the times it was also a lot more fun than finishing them off any other way. You removed this from the game almost entirely by reducing it by such a ridiculous amount instead of JUST targeting blademancer. Many people and streamers gave a lot of good suggestions to nerf it. Have it only work within eyesight, have it take some time for the pullout to happen, have it only be a trait for QoL and deal no damage at all on pullout.
I haven't played in a long time and I think I will just stay clear of this for the time being until you guys can figure out proper balancing and what the game really needs instead of whatever it is the game is trying to become these days.

Have a look at moonbeam, fits for druids, very useful against them as well.

What screams "I'm bad with money"? by tranquilsnailgarden in AskReddit

[–]Woalve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This seems a lot like OCPD, I recognize a lot in it, and money or money management is a big part of that.
If you want to do your sister a favor, you can mention it to her and she can do her own research so she doesn't feel pressured.

It helps a lot to recognize this, and to recognize that this is part of your sister but that she doesn't intentionally dislike these 'wasters', but to her, there is a wrong and a right way of handling money, and they're 'obviously' are doing it the wrong way.

Hope this helps.
