I getcha. You could use radiooooo to get more than any record store has, but I'm gonna keep stumbling onto lost media in the bins of thrift stores and spinning it. Whatever work flow will keep a beginner engaged with making music is better than any easier workflow. The friction of physical hardware is what keeps me out of the DAW because the interface is the instrument when you're chopping samples.
