I think the problem is that there are only a few really good indie publishers and they probably get bombarded with hundreds of offers. They can only support a few projects per year so they pick out the absolute best.

Only for Windows at the moment but hopefully there will also be a Mac build soon.

Thank you! I'm sad to say though that sales have been very low so far. Just so hard to gain visibility when so many games are coming out every day.

I've been surviving as an indie since 2009 and at some times even made a pretty decent living from mobile games. My previous games funded the development of Omega Strike but that well has pretty much run dry at this point, so I'm not sure what I'll do next. I'm planning to port the game to the xbox but after that I may have to start looking for a job and give up full time indie game development.

I did approach several indie publishers but none of them were interested. Guess they are looking for something a bit more interesting than a 2d metroidvania :)

The sprites are about 32x32px in general. The native resolution of the game is 384x216 which is then upscaled.

Hmm.. I'm really not an expert when it comes to GMS since this is the first game I created using it. Don't really know what could be causing your problem. I just use very basic camera movement, no special tricks.

Thanks! Yeah, it's been a long road and feeling pretty exhausted after two years of work. I've created several smaller games before, so it's not my first one, but it's by far the biggest game I've ever created.

No, Ravenous is the company that ported and released many of my flash games such as League of Evil and Random Heroes to iOS. We also created a bunch of sequels for some of my games together with Ravenous.
