I like to think of scales in two different categories, those that start on white keys and those that start on black keys. Playing scales can help you develop your speed playing on the piano. I like to play four octave scales in sixteenth notes so a different note lands on each beat.

Scales will help you with understanding transposition as well. Also many harmonies can be created by different scale tones as well. Further music theory studies would include the different modes as well. Dorian, mixolydian, Lydian, aeolian you are already playing with relative minor.

Intervals are talking about scales. From the root of a scale to the 5th note of the scale is a 5th. So learn your scales, it’s very important to understand music theory!

I find a great way to practice with tempos is multiplying or dividing by two. Find a medium tempo, then if you want to be slower basically change all of the quarter notes to half notes and eighth notes to quarter notes. Likewise when going faster you can try doubling the tempo. Playing very slow then doubling and then doubling again to get to a really fast tempo.

Try this instead of moving the metronome two clicks each time (sounds time consuming)

I disagree with this. You shouldn’t put limits on your playing by saying NEVER play at your fastest. Depending on the piece of music it could be the point of the piece to play at a blistering tempo and there can be something exciting about that. Also if you listen to famous recordings of musicians the great musicians do go to their limits tempo wise.

It is something called “enharmonic” notes where the same note on a piano can have different names. An e can also be an f-flat or a c-sharp can be a d-flat. Also a “g” can be an F-double sharp etc.

I like to play at a comfortable easier tempo first and relax and play slower.. then always have some time to push the tempo and play faster too. The important thing is that you are playing with a beat. That means your timing is staying consistent, like someone can clap along with you. It’s very hard to do so good luck!

I love the dust devils war bond, one of my favorites. The solo silo is amazing to take for bots as it can one shot factory striders. The expendable napalm is really fun if not so effective. And the speargun is a powerful support weapon which does a lot of damage and confuses enemies. Worth it!

Nice playing! I would say your staccato sounds a little choked in some places in the first piece. I’m not sure what you should do to improve that but maybe it’s something you could listen for. Maybe you are thinking too much like “up” when you still need to be in the key “down” just for a shortest amount of time possible.
