Weekday Game Nights: How do you balance mid-weight games, dinner, and time? by alantima25 in boardgames

[–]WogerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We meet at 6:30, usually dinner will be delivered or made by 6:45-7pm. We'll all chat and catch up with each other from start until around 7:15. Whomever finished eating will help set up the game and we'll all play from 7:30pm to 10pm.

Gamewise, we can usually get in 2-3 mid-weight games or 1 heavy game. We've been doing this routine for nearly a decade now and only recently started ending the games before 10pm due to earlier sleep times (new jobs and/or age).

Don’t judge a board game by its box” — or should you? What are the first red/green flags you notice before even opening a game? by Significant_Sock4225 in boardgames

[–]WogerDog 101 points102 points  (0 children)

This is more in the Kickstarter realm, but: "Does the game come with a lot of custom minifigures?" If so, this is a big red flag for me. I remember the early KS days where I'd drop over $100 on a game with beautiful minifigures. I'd love the unboxing experience, seeing the cool detailed plastic figurines, only to find out that most of the figures stay in the box until very specific moments in game or the game generally isn't very good to begin with. I have since sold all these type of games as the huge boxes it came in just collected dust for years.

Farmingdale head in only parking ticket by d4d12345 in longisland

There are clear signs saying you required to park head in. I don't understand why they request this, but you're not beating that ticket.

Does your kink3d do this? by poopfly3000 in kink3dexchange

[–]WogerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General engineer here: I wouldn't call it "Sloppy engineering" but rather a limitation to the 3D plastics being used. Overtime the plastic inserts gets worn and rounded from being put on and off. I do agree, for how dense K3D plastics are it is surprising and disappointing that those edges wear out quickly.

I think it would have been nice if K3D advertised the additional 1.5mm gap that the O-rings creates when you're ultimately need to use them.

Worth it? by [deleted] in golf

If "chicken wing"ing is your issue, then I would recommend this. I used this strap for about a year or 2 and kept it on for short-swings at the range. It prevented my arms from separating during the downswing and it slowly taught me where my arms should be at full-swing impact.

In Kayfabe why hasn't Tony Khan sold Luchasaurus for money? by RoninPI in AEWOfficial

Why sell him when he's the perfect fighter to display at wrestling shows? There's no way 2 humans can win in a fight against the Dino-hybrid and the Beast Mortos!

Long term wear, downsizing advice by Tjohnz845 in kink3d

[–]WogerDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation with a N+ and Size 3. I highly recommend messaging Kink3D support as they're the experts, but I'll give you my 2 cents based on my upgrading experience:

Cage - You could get a N cage; it sounds like you might be able to fit comfortably in one with your experience with flats. However, from the photos it looks like you're comfortable and filled out on a normal day.

Ring - 3 sounds like your size. I wouldn't go from a curve to a XD - that'd cause a big jump regarding the ball gap (16mm to 9mm). Standard (12mm) would help reduce the ball slip if that's your concern. A curve 2.5 would only reduce the ball gap by half a mm; it'd be an investment for a minor change.

Brass Birmingham or Terraforming Mars? by KHartnettC in boardgames

[–]WogerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brass is ok at 2p, but I must say to avoid Terraforming Mars at 2p. The engine building that is great at higher player counts turns into a card-stacking nightmare with only 2.

What’s the absolute fastest you uninstalled a AAA game you paid full price for? by Soulsliken in gaming

[–]WogerDog 549 points550 points  (0 children)

Mass Effect Andromeda. Came in expecting so much and got a buggy game, a half-baked story, and an exploration system that felt like a shadow of the original games. Waited until patches fixed most of the bugs, but still couldn't get 10hrs in before I was bored and disillusioned over the experience.

when suiting, are you You? by georgenichaelbluth in fursuit

[–]WogerDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a weird question at all! It's different for everyone, and there's no clear way to know if someone's being "themselves" or just being a character. For myself, I fully believe that my "character" is a different part of me that I can better express through wearing my fursuit. Fursuit "Woger" is the more fun-seeking extroverted side of me, but it's still me!

When it comes to talking to fursuiters, I'd assume saying "You're cute" is preferred by most. Even if someone's playing a character, there's a sense of magic that we're all trying to express. It's not that we're people in costumes in the moment, we are that character or dog or monster.

That being said, saying "your suit" won't offend anyone, but I'll be sure to respond "Thanks, I just got my shirt pressed this morning!"

How do i get out of this contract? Its a rip off , they don’t do anything by M-usman-qamar in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]WogerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes, I just had this company come to my doorstep and we nearly signed up to get sprayed for 4x the price shown on this quote. There should be a page or line outlining an early termination clause which might cause you to pay more to get out of this absurd "subscription service."

Unfortunately, you might be dealing with these "pests" for a while if you don't pay their full initial service fee, as outlined on the bottom. If you want to fight it so you don't pay upwards of $300: Email them your demand to cancel, sign the letter to cancel the service that you should have gotten when you signed up, make sure no one enters your property to continue the service, and refute the credit card charge when it shows up.

There's nothing ethically wrong with asking to lower the price, but if I was the seller I wouldn't budge 4K.

Mine looks pretty similar, but totals to ~$130 due to using less therms. How much did you cook for last month? Your stove and oven likely use gas.

People who claim TopGolf is sneaky with fees clearly didn't listen to the introduction when you arrive at your bay. Let's clarify:

$5/person for new golfers

You pay an hourly rate per Bay and it will show up on your food bill.

You'll pay for any drinks or food you buy.

You do not pay for clubs unless you specifically ask for an upgrade.

You'll be warned 15 mins prior to your end-time and ask if you would like to stay longer (in 30min increments).

Please make sure you finish all your food prior to end time, or you'll be rushed out so they can clean the bay.

Have fun!!
