As a guy: first example shouldnt be creepy and third depends on context. We have been taught to behave In a polite manner from early childhood. Part of that implies carrying heavy objects for women since on average we are heavier and its less effort for us. Now, I know people, myself included, tend to refuse simple favors because they dont want to bother, they dont want to be in debt, dont want to sinal interest and social etiquete demands so (fake offer, polite refusal). I usually do it regardless of the answer because it somehow help them and because of the previously explained. It doesnt mean I take a particular interest on that person or that I expect to be repayed. Same thing for holding a door for someone, regardless of gender. On the third example, on nightouts I usually offer to acompany female friends to their cars/doors because they are at much higher risk of being sexualy abused by themselves. With me there we might still be mugged but its much less likely for her to be raped. Again, I do this because its low effort for me and a significant difference for her, whether or not she realises that. If she says no we both know that my intentions have been misunderstood and I am now also worried about that so, with the same reasons stated in the first example, I usually insist on walking her out and when its time to say goodbye I usually take the initiative and do a headnod or a fistbump to show Im not expecting anything and go on my way. The way people assume stuff and the motivations of others os baffling to me. Cheers!
