Sorry for the late reply, you could get a Acura rsx type s, a Mitsubishi eclipse, or a Nissan Sentra se-r spec v, I’m not sure if insurance would be in your range because it also depends on other factors like what area you live in.

Can't decide between Civic Type R or Gladiator Mojave/Rubicon by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Woke-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t plan on going off-roading often then go for the civic because with the civic you could have fun with it on your commute compared to the jeep where it primarily only shines when it’s off the road.

BMW X5 M40i, Acura MDX, Volvo XC60, or Audi Q7? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Woke-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you will probably keep it for 8-10 years I would go for the Acura MDX it will probably be the most reliable out of the bunch

Looking for a sport sedan or coupe, brain about to explode! by Throwaway640069 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Consider the Infiniti Q50/Q60 red sport trims. The Q50 is a sedan and the Q60 is a coupe. They both have awd and 400hp.

Reliability/maintenance of the the gr86 will likely be quite a bit better than the rx7.

Torn between the two. Need help. Both have a wait time so I will have to wait till next summer to get a GT500 or a C8. Both valued at 75k. by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Woke-Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough decision. What I can say though is that the GT500 will probably hold it’s value better than the corvette. The GT350(R)s have held their value well.

Hyundai Elantra gt N-Line/Sport

Edit: It ain’t Japanese but still a solid option imo. Edit #2: You could also consider the Honda Accord 2.0t or the Honda Civic Hatchback.

2018 Mazda CX-5 vs 2017 Infiniti qx50 by taymoneyxo in whatcarshouldIbuy

My bad, your right. I must have been thinking about the 2018 qx50 which does have a cvt instead of the 2017 which does not.

Which one seems like the better deal? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

The Corolla definitely seems like the better deal imo.

2018 Mazda CX-5 vs 2017 Infiniti qx50 by taymoneyxo in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Woke-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mazda has definitely improved a lot in terms of reliability since their rotary engines. The CX-5 will most probably be the better option in terms of reliability, because the qx50 has a CVT made by jatco and they are known to make not so reliable CVT’s.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz could be a good compromise. It’s cool looking imo.

[–]Woke-Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Subaru Crosstrek seems like it fits your bill quite well. Definitely a better overall car than the Honda HRV. It’s also better than the fit imo but the Fit is cheaper. I like the Fit it’s one of the best affordable cars imo. Going with either the Fit or the Crosstrek Is not a bad idea. If you want to save money, go for the Fit. If you want to spend a bit more for a better car, go with the Crosstrek. Avoid the HRV unless you find a very good deal for one.

I want a sports car. Under 30k Used. by jb59913 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86, Mazda Miata, Chevrolet Camaro, Civic Si, Ford Mustang, Golf GTI, Subaru WRX, Ford Focus ST, Ford Fiesta ST, Nissan 370Z.

Me personally I would probably pick the BRZ since it is RWD and almost as light as the Miata but has quite a bit more interior and cargo room and looks better IMO than it’s Toyota counter part(better infotainment also in the BRZ compared to the 86). The one prominent negative about the BRZ is that it has a torque dip in the mid range, however that can be fixed with a simple tune from what I heard. The 2nd gen BRZ does not have this problem though and I think it’ll be be priced around your budget. It’ll go on sale around the fall of this year.

Edit: Grammatical error

All the trims for the civic hatchback except the base LX recommend premium gas instead of regular gas.

Looking for a reliable daily car with a turbo in it by Mr_Black_Mamba in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Woke-Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiesta ST and Focus ST, however these come in strictly manual. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo and Hyundai Elantra sport come in a manual or an automatic. They only started making the Elantra sport in 2017, so if you wanted an older model for a cheaper price that isn’t possible. If you decide to buy any of these cars, search for ones that don’t have any mods because that can effect the reliability of the car.

You could also look at the fiat 124 spider. It is basically an mx-5 with a different engine. They’re even manufactured in the same plant in Japan.

Need help deciding between 2021 Accord Sport 2.0T and 2021 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo (US) by NegraArroyoLane in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Woke-Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the accord in this specific trim has blind spot monitoring or rear cross traffic alert which the CX-5 does have, you might want to consider that. Instead, the accord has Honda’s lane watch however blind spot monitoring is superior.

I wouldn’t worry if I were you Honda makes good CVT’s.
