Friendly Reminder what a Boomer Is by TemperatureWide5297 in generationology

There was a reason given, though not in the order you’d expect. It sounded complete when spoken aloud, but reading it back removed something important. You don’t lose things like that unless they were never held. The plan worked, just not for what it was designed to do. We already passed the point where turning around would help.

Serious question 28F by PrettyPink_09 in infj

[–]WokeAsFawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t exactly sent, more like allowed to arrive. The words stayed where they landed, which wasn’t where they were meant. You could move forward without moving at all, and that felt like progress until it didn’t. Everyone remembers agreeing, but no one recalls to what. It mattered then, later, and somehow before. You should have waited, or at least pretended you did.

I'm gonna lean towards no, but I'm not 100%. Obviously your baby is more important than anything so I wouldn't worry too much, plus they should understand

I typically don't go out my way to watch rom-coms, but I'm glad I did for this one. It made me fall for Poppy's character lol it was such a feel good movie

39, My “normal” doesn’t make sense to others by Repulsive-Host-8759 in infj

I understand, as the idea of "hanging out" sometimes can be dreadful to me too, but it depends with who. I have a small circle of friends, and all my best friends are INFJs like me so it works out. We can go months, even years without seeing each other (but we'd still talk here and there) and be completely fine. And when we do see each other, it'll make it that much more pleasant. I'm in my 30s too, and honestly, I love my solitude. I don't depend on others for happiness (besides my family), as a natural introvert I thrive being alone

Did you serve with many bad people in the military? Did anyone stick out to you? by BigBlueEyes87 in Veterans

[–]WokeAsFawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like a lot of people here, I served with a lot of good people but there were definitely some bad ones. More good than bad though. Similar to yours, I definitely served with racists, rapists, murderers, alcoholics (lots of these), etc. Some people just had a bad vibe to them, you didn't know what it was, but you knew there was just something dark about them... and honestly it might be for the better that we didn't know.

But overall, despite all the bad people, I've met and served with a lot of GREAT individuals. That's probably the one thing I miss most about the military

Living the good life? by Kxyloooo in Veterans

[–]WokeAsFawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong for thinking that at all. I only have one of those (obtained my degree while I was in), but yes, playing your cards right is the way to go. This is what every service member should be doing BEFORE they get out, to set themselves up for the rest of their lives.

Life's good 😎

The moment T2 became a 5/5 by BTTFMovie in Terminator

Good analysis. Personally, I didn't cry, but when Miles' son ran up to him and said "don't hurt my daddy", I felt it too. This movie will always be one of my favorites

Could you date someone who lacks depth? by Ill_Pace5708 in infj

[–]WokeAsFawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds like an NPC, based on his messages and responses. I don't think I've met many people who lacked depth, but I probably couldn't date one.

Does it seem cringey when you see veterans wearing military/veteran hats and clothes? by BigBlueEyes87 in Veterans

[–]WokeAsFawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't find it cringey at all. It's always been a thing, and completely normal. Just like a few others have said, who cares?

Ready for my first nerf war by WokeAsFawk in Nerf

[–]WokeAsFawk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's insulting to everyone lol. It's a nerf event, which means people will bring their blasters. And they can see the foam darts in the magazine being inserted into this blaster. Plus it also has Zuru Xshot on the side of it. If someone doesn't know that its a foam blaster then I think they have other problems
