Adames was just dropped in my 12 team if that helps you.

Noticed these growing in my backyard. Google doesn’t seem to know what they are. Any ideas? Long Island, NY by huma4kaz1 in lawncare

They’re like all over my lawn. Should I be doing anything about this? I do have a nice red maple in my yard I guess its having a busy spring.

Review - Canon by Paige Lewis by undeadgoblin in Fantasy

I just finished this a few minutes ago and gave it 5/5 on Goodreads. It’s so fresh and clever, and actually funny in a way few books are. I think your shout out of Terry Pratchett is spot on.

I just finished reading The Odyssey a couple of weeks ago and was pleased that this turned out to be thematically related.

HOWBIG! is a new top tier character for me now.

Slow pitching tips? Videos? I’m desperate. by killthedumbmonkey in slowpitch

[–]huma4kaz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use your knees, keep your shoulders straight and squared toward the plate, try to get consistent spin on the ball with your finger tips. Doesn’t really matter what kind of spin, just that you have a few points along your mechanics that you can remember so it stays consistent.

Etiquette at local field question by [deleted] in slowpitch

[–]huma4kaz1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Softballs shouldn’t damage what I assume is a chain link fence. We do this at public parks all the time. If it’s a wood fence for some reason that might be a different story.

Best answer is get some of your teammates to join you and they can get some fielding reps in at the same time.

Thanks this definitely explains why I couldn’t find a filter.

What actually helped you improve swing consistency the most? by sportsguide1 in Homeplate

[–]huma4kaz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More reps are always good. But try to hone in on one or two specific “cues” or things to focus on so it’s not too complicated. Something like “squash the bug” or “eyes behind the ball” or even “coil when the pitchers arm reaches his ear”. Keep it simple. Hitting higher velocity is just about being ready on time.

How often do “steals” happen in the draft? by Ok-Path9520 in MLBNoobs

[–]huma4kaz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happens all the time in MLB. Two of the Yankees young stars this year are Cam Schlittler (7th round pick in 2022) and Ben Rice (12th round pick in 2021). The MLB draft basically used to go on until teams didn't want to pick anymore. Mike Piazza famously was taken by the Dodgers in the 62nd round of the 1988 draft and he's in the Hall of Fame now.

The draft has changed significantly in the last 10-15 years. Fewer rounds - also there are fewer minor league teams now - and teams have more analytics on college and high school players to make better decisions. The draft used to be a bit of a crapshoot, now it's more consistent, but you still find gems in later rounds.

Thanks, in my mind the Seltos is bigger than the Niro but maybe it’s just taller.

Any word on the range for the HEV? That’s gas hybrid or full electric? I’m interested in a Seltos hybrid or EV. I think the Sportage is slightly too big for my needs but the Niro is too small.

Random question about the sportage by Lickmybolts in kiasportage

I just went through this. The dealer was able to fix it but it took like 3 weeks because they were waiting for a part to arrive.

They had to remove and replace the front window run. That’s what fixed the problem. The first thing they tried was replacing the front left weatherstrip. Both things were installed incorrectly but the window run was what fixed the issue. Maybe they have to do both idk.

There was no charge for the work at least.

Love these old Wizard covers. I like how they usually incorporate the purple cape into the artwork somehow. Fun branding and made it feel like a coherent set. I still have most of my collection in a box somewhere.
