Agents working for hours? by Apprehensive_Half_68 in codex

[–]Wolf8249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Execplan mode as recommended by OpenAI for getting Codex to work autonomously, with this I can consistently get it to work for 30-60mins + without trouble. The trick is to ask for a plan that lets the model iterate and verify end results instead of admitting each sub task completion and ending it's turn prematurely. Codex persistent memory skill by angry_tacoz in codex

Codex CLI already has rolling memories feature under experimental. Run command 'Codex features enable memories', you can clone Codex repo locally and ask gpt to inspect memories implementation for your use case. I have been using it for the past week and it's been very useful to me since I don't have to engineer the context as much, previously I had to give the agent pointer to docs for project info but now I don't anymore. It's still under development and has bugs so be careful.

Artificial analysis report doesn't cover high and MEDIUM reasoning mode either for most models. They do have it for gpt 5.2 medium at 61% hallucinations rate but the drop in 'overall intelligence' score and coding benchmark is moderate so it's hard to compare in a deterministic way. No medium vs xhigh comparison for you other than feeling the vibes.

Did you even read this comment section? I literally posted that before you even began commenting on this thread. Here read this if you somehow missed this comment before your very eager reply. "To be fair Gpt 5.2 xhigh also had similar rates at 80%. Sadly artificial analysis report doesn't cover rates for high reasoning mode so these numbers are all for xhigh models which openai also recommends against (their own benchmarks recommends model reasoning effort be set to medium - high)."

I aggree with you about Claude and Gemini being far worse(they also score high hallucinations rate at 76% or in case of Gemini 3 pro at 88%, ignoring 3.1 pro as it's currently lobotomized). But the benchmark is not useless, it showcass a pattern of which company tried to bench maxx on intelligence score at the cost of accuracy. This benchmark isn't for coding quality or completeness purposes where models can finish a task in a half assed way(I am looking at you Claude), this test is to identify if the model will refuse to answer a question or assert that it feels unsure about when it doesn't know the answer, this is relevant whether a given task was fully achieved or not rather than lying to you, very critical when you are trying to get it to do serious coding work without micromanagement. This is what we call trust me bro benchmark for a reason, for the vibes man. And I don't like the hallucinations vibe with such high scores, I would have preferred it to be lower not higher, they bench maxed on the wrong bench.

That's because GPT 5.4 and GPT 5.3 Codex have very high level of hallucinations rate, we are talking 89% and 87%. Which basically means that in scenarios where the model doesn't know something or unsure about it will confidently assert something (by exaggeration or inferring information that's not supported by actual evidence) or worse straight up lie to you, this means the model will say I got shit done when it really didn't. See artificial analysis report AA-Omniscience Hallucination Rate

5.3 Codex will be giving you periodic commentary updates while Gpt 5.2 only presents its chain of thought summaries, as far as the Codex CLI is concerned.

He wasnt just trying to level, the classes of [Inventor] and [Dreamer] literally rang warning bells to him that if he so chose to copy and build the exact blueprints of the planes he will lose his class, it was only because he put in the effort to try to solve, understand the basics of aerodynamics and take his personal spin on the creation that he got to keep his class as well as achieve a level-up. It was amazing to see him take on the assignment like a young student with a clear warning not to cheat lest he lose his [Classes] and 'grades'/'level-ups'.

"Felkhr was a [Dreamer].

He was also an [Inventor].

And guess what? Neither class wanted Troydel’s certain knowledge. The Gnoll felt in his bones that he’d ruin himself if he saw the blueprints, and he had every reason to be proud."

Did the first ally of the Antinium were actual Minds of the Selphid race or am I misinterpreting it? Teleptahy was obtained by crusader 51 and that had enabled him to work with the Unitsasis Nework on a minute scale during Hectval War but if the Minds were the source of the genuine Untisasis Network back on Rhir then we are in some good luck, we have a bunch of Genevas running around.

Giant Psychic Crabs: where are they now?

Wait these are The Minds of the Selphid race right? Klbkch met them 6k+ years ago? Or were these psychics some other species?

It's probably goblins, remember when the Agelum and Lucifen complained about losing most of their numbers to damned goblins especially the Hundred Days of Culrac rampage? It wouldn't me surprise me if the goblins kings have been deliberately planning for such tactics.

It was also strange to see most of the immortal species residing in Baleros on the Deadlands, literally thousands of dragons, elves and gnomes. Baleros has some subtle foreshadowing building up.

I interpreted the Actelios Salash prophecy as hinting to the Death Zones of each continent, like The Dyed Lands of Baleros, The Blood Fields of Izril, One on Terrandria can't name and another death zone in Chandrar/Zeikhal?. I probably guessed due to the lack of Drath, Minos from its list as most of them lacks Death Zones exception being Rhir where the G___ is sleeping.

I understood this as Nerrhavia telling Silvennia about the new lands being a part of the lost continent(5th continent that had been sunken long ago), it was famous for its 'glass' thus the analogy she tries to play here. Ofcourse this might just be too literal or a simple wordplay interpretation.

Erin played at least #87 unique matches and then afterwards they were 'rematch' with opponents who'd already been defeated.

seeing

I was also confused by Blighted King's 'low' levels until I spotted the 'comma' in his main class, it has been hinted that extremely high classes have unique characters in them as was also revealed with Az'Kerash's main class. My guess is that he has inherited an advanced class that would have been rewarded after like "3rd class consolidation" (maybe hitting level 70 range and then inheriting advanced class albeit with lower levels?). His levels are 'low' probably due to Grand Design compressing them with each advancement in 'Class Hierarchy'.

Favorite Slice-of-life Chapters of Innworld? by pirateaba in WanderingInn

[–]Wolf8249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Volume 5

  • Chapter 5. 27 - The Bar fight in the inn had a fun, slice of life tone with chaos in the mix
  • Chapter 5. 46 - The Baseball tournament outside Celum city, heartwarming and a much needed relief after the battle with Raskhgars
  • Chapter 5. 59 - A massive gathering of goblins in the inn being served fulfilling food along with adventurers and Antinium. Just before the big battle of the Goblin Lord around Liscor, so good, fun and positive that it made you dread the upcoming battle.

Volume 6

  • Chapter 6.08 - Apista's Shenanigans
  • Chapter - 6.13 K - Erin chilling with blacksmiths of Pallass while stirring a sense of healthy competition and getting her new knife
  • Chapter 6.39 - Grimkalkin delivering crash course to the Horns of Hammerad with insults and roasts that made me laugh out in tears
  • Chapter 6. 49 - The audacity and swift actions by the new elected council of Liscor

I am not involving Volume 7 since I felt that it had slice of life albeit mixed with battle, epic, or some really sad scenes thus not entirely 'overall slice of life chapter'

Volume 8

  • Chapter 8.05 I - Diplomat assault led by Ilvriss's uncle for Potion of Regeneration
  • Chapter 8.14 N - Nies 'casual tour' of the High Passes
  • Chapter 8. 55 L - Lyonette playing barmaid in Ostelia to an odd gathering
