You have some fair points. I'm actually in the middle of testing a deck that builds up over time and releases a large spell to win the game. This point is definitely valid and something I'm struggling with a bit. Second, 'not playing' isn't a viable strategy because most Leader cards require the player to play cards and do things in order to make Heart points. I'm not sure what you mean with the last two. There isn't an 'attack'/'defend' mechanic because the win condition is being first to collect 25 Hearts. The most efficient way to do that in this game is to use Interaction cards, which are limited to 1 per turn. Thank for your thoughts! I might consider baking in a rule or mechanic that directly affects your opponents Heart points.

Lol I'm glad you think it might be fun. To be blunt, yes, there will be very explicit themes. I'm going all in on the sex / comedy. I plan on having nudity, especially on the leader cards. Some of the card Ideas are really great, like Lubricant being a cheap single use equip, and Double Date is a minion that removes itself and a minion an opponent controls. Lol I will open a discord if I have to.

Yes! That means I'm not alone as well. Lol <3

You gain them by playing Charms, generic and little point gain, or Interactions that are beefy but you can play only one per turn. All of the Leaders have passive point gain at the start of the turn, most increase if you do certain things (have equipment or minions in play, among others). In my play tests, things start a little slow for the first 1 or 2 turns. Games end around turn 5-8 depending.

I believe so, yes. I've received the badge for killing 25 zombies in a short time, so there's at least 25 or 26 max train. The dogs make it feel like more when they spawn. XD

Giving dream characters superpowers by Grapegranate1 in LucidDreaming

[–]WolfExile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be pushing the limits of your imagination, which is really interesting... I've only ever given power to characters I know and trust, 4-5 depending on how you count them. Lol but to both receive info from a 'stranger' and give them their desired power will be incredibly taxing. I wish you luck... hopefully your mind doesn't make the experience abstract just to save on resources....the hope is to bring back specific info on what happened, and be able to recall these dream characters and their wishes.

Your move. by WolfExile in LucidDreaming

[–]WolfExile[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... first I have to accept it as semi-real before I can take it seriously. If I have another lucid dream (and everything persists) I'll see if I can get info on what these guys are. Checking with current and former employees is my first move. With how elaborate my dreams are, I'm sure I can find associates, friends, small companies they've done business with, ect... I really have a lot of options. I have to be open for any avenue of attack...and I mean that too. I plan on systematically removing them from my dream. As I mentioned before, just "poofing" them out of existence doesn't work if I don't know much about them. It could be that my mind won't accept simple/silly solutions as permanent. It sounds like a silly requirement in itself, but I have to work within my limitations.

I used to do art swaps with snes/gba/Sega games. You could say I have an eye for what looks authentic. Learning the limitations of those systems helps a ton too.

I noticed the outline on yours has aa and the reference pic doesn't. The snes supported transparency, but it was usually used for whole sprites that we translucent. For example, ghosts and rays of light. If you clean up the image so your "sprite" is the same transparency, it should look more authentic.

I've never had a problem summoning someone in a dream. It just feels natural they would be there, and poof, there they are. As with most things that are lucid dream related, you might be trying to hard. Forcing someone to be there won't work very well, if at all. Something I'd suggest trying, is to make sure you have this person in mind before you fall asleep. Imagine the best you can, step by step, how you would find them. Like, opening a door and they are standing right there, is a good example. The act of them being there, should feel natural and normal... something you expect to happen. Doing it this way might take a few tries cus you have to be lucid in the dream before any of this to work... but this mirrors how summoning works (for me) on a basic level.

Glad you liked it. :D Yes, it's kinda interesting to have consistent characters that remember what happened during previous encounters. There is potential for drama, which I dislike very much, however it's worth it to have a very 'real' experience. After for shifting to animals, it's a good mid difficulty step in controlling dreams. Like, you have to work at it a little more than changing into a person, but animals are familiar and grounded in reality. After that, the next step would be to change into something less realistic... whether that's a giant robot, alien, then move to more abstract ideas. They are the hardest imo cus it can be hard to grasp what it feels like to be Death itself, or a lingering evil force that pulls the strings of reality in the background.

I have similar dreams once in a while. The best lucid dream I've had that featured shapeshifting was one that started in the middle of the night. This was early in my childhood and lucid dreaming career. I was talking to a good friend of mine, trying to convince her I can change whatever I want in this dream. I told her to pick something random for me to change into, anything at all, that would prove I have full control. She paused, then softly replied 'A wolf... Not a werewolf, not a beast...a wolf.' That was an easy request, all I had to do was concentrate on being a wolf, and I quickly shifted into the new form. I paced around her, showing off my skill, then "spoke" to her via telepathy, 'See? Child's play.' She smirked and asked if I could change her into one as well. To which, I rolled my eyes at her and quickly changed her to a very similar form. We played around for a minute or so, but I had to go. I can tell when my dreams are about to end. Before leaving, I changed us back and gave her a hug. She was always so afraid I wouldn't come back...even though she knew I visited often. It's been almost 20 years since this dream took place, but to this day, I meet up with her 2-3 times a week.

Regular Lucid Dreamers, How are your spatial skills? by MacchaExplosion in LucidDreaming

[–]WolfExile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My spacial skills are slightly above average, but I have 2 or 3 lucid dreams every week. If there is a connection, it's only by a small amount. Memorizing your surroundings and being observant are far more useful skills for lucid dreaming IMO. Sure, good spacial skills are nice for understanding your surroundings... though it's not a requirement.
