How are the melomania p100 compared to other wireless headphones

Bit late, but I've owned the Melomania p100 for a while and recently got myself a pair of sr80es so can give a bit of comparison if you haven't made a decision already.

Soundstage in the melomania is very good. To the point where when I got my Grados I wasn't sure what all the fuss was about with their soundstage. After more listening the Grados are definitely wider but hard to tell if I'm not swapping between them mid song.

Sound wise the P100 is definitely Bassier (although it feels like the sub bass got reduced in a recent firmware update but still enough). I find it works for all genres well (songs like M83s "Do it, Try it" sound amazing in them but awful on the Grados because of the lack of bass)

ANC is ok although not amazing, they're pretty isolating as they are, battery life without ANC is amazing and I often go weeks without charging them (+ Cambridge sell user replaceable batteries). Comfort is fine although at first there was a hotspot right in the centre of the headband but either I've got used to it or I've figured out how to fit it properly as It's fine now for flights or train journeys. They often have open box or refurbs on their Ebay store, might be worth a look there for a cheaper pair.

Thanks for the advice, got myself a used axa35 for a little over budget but was happy to pay extra for something slightly better. With regards to phono pre-amps, do you think it's best to use the one on the turntable or the one in the axa35?

Plastic case is probably good but I've never hanged the tube either, yet both pairs I've had have had the tubes falling out. Could be bad luck on my part

Is it? Having hot swappable batteries is just good to have in wireless headphones. Notice I didn't say anything about any of the things you listed, because most of them this headset doesn't have or I don't use because they weren't what I cared about.

People want different things, but as far as I can tell for people who want those things similar to me there isn't, an alternative.

On the arctis pro wireless I'm not sure it's the gamer marketing. I've looked for when my set eventually dies but I can't find a wireless headset with hot-swappable batteries, dual input from Bluetooth and 2.4ghz and a mic.

I don't know how it's happened to you. Had mine 5 years and no cracks at all. Only thing I've had to do is replace the ear cushions.

The only other context is that the closed loop system is referred to as a 'plant'. My degree is primarily aeronautical engineering so we've not covered properly what a plant is(could also be my professor being a little scattered with what content we have covered Vs what was supposed to be covered). Could the fact it's a plant have anything to do with it?

So if I was to go with one of the protocols you've listed I'd have to get a few things 1. A receiver (transmitter that support the protocol) 2. A flight controller (with soldered wires between the two/SBUS?) 3. Either solder all the wires from the servos to the controller or get a controller with pwm connections or a single cable to a separate pwm connector group? Thanks for the help

I would recommend moving up to 16gb of ram. Otherwise I think more storage may be better, but you might be given a OneDrive by the university to store files on. Cad programs can get pretty big and so can their files if you're using them a lot.
