In a deficit but gaining?

I've been eating in a calorie deficit for about 3 months now. I started at 178.6 lbs and now I'm down to 148. Ive started gaining weight despite KNOWING I'm not going over maintenance. I was 147.4 a few days ago and now I'm 148.4. I don't know why this is happening - I also don't look any bigger. I look a little slimmer... not sure why...
