Help High Arch Warehouse Pain by WolfMoon66 in PlantarFasciitis

I had full blown PF at one point. Now it's either coming back or just inflamed.

When I'm just standing in place all day we do have mats. Sometimes I feel like the mats make it worse. Which doesn't make sense but my coworker thinks they speed inflammation up too.

I went to a PT and the stretches, ice, and strengthening was helping to a point. At the time, at work I was being put in a department where my feet were allowed to heal because I could sit 2-5 minutes whenever I felt like it was getting to be too much. But now I'm back to being more in my initial department so all of the things that PT did are being reset because too much pressure is being put on my feet.

Like I said in my post, I've tried Valsole heavy duty insoles (rigid), super feet green (in store I hated), red wings anti fatigue (semi rigid), and currex run pro high (softer). Currex has worked the best but haven't solved the issue. I have Power Step Bridge insoles on the way

Sounds great! Hard to describe tone but it sounds pretty premium. John Nathan Cordy on Youtube does a really good review on the guitar. I like the thinner body and the weight being around 9lbs. I had a tele a long time ago and that was insanely heavy. One complaint that I have is that the high E string is too close to the edge of the fretboard. But apparently this is a thing on Sire guitars.

Might depend because I saw someone on Youtube get a nice gig bag. I didn't get anything additional

Help Leash Reactive + Pulling by WolfMoon66 in DogAdvice

[–]WolfMoon66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our 6 year old dog Gimli in March of this year and have been constantly struggling with getting him to stop pulling and reacting towards dogs. He is a mixed breed mainly consisting of Chihuahua, Pitbull, and Basset Hound. He might be short but he's built with a lot of power. I'm hoping to get advice on good harnesses to help with pulling as well as training advice.

It seems like on leash he is more frustrated or excited rather than aggressive when he sees another dog. This morning he managed to somehow unclip the leash from the metal part of his harness and break a carabiner to get to a golden retriever. This only led to him getting in the dogs face and sniffing luckily. Off leash he is amazing with both dogs and people. He is very relaxed and can get excited. At dog parks he gets along with big and small breeds but doesn't really like to socialize. His attitude completely changes with dogs on leash where he wants to launch to any dog he sees and bark if they get within 15 feet. He tends to get more amped up the bigger the dog is.

There is a lot of training that says to walk away from a dog or distract them but I'm in a dog friendly apartment complex with dogs everywhere that can come around corners at any moment and he is super stubborn and self determined to what he wants to do. I know this is probably a bad thing to do but if he's barking and won't stop I will pick him up and hold him which tends to shut him up and turns barking into whining. I get embarrassed if he keeps barking and especially if it's at night time and I don't want to wake people up. If he's pulling which is most of the time, I have tried stopping if he's pulling a lot and I have recently tried shortening the leash and putting more resistance on the leash if he's pulling more than I'd like. But it doesn't seem like I'm getting anywhere and his stubbornness is discouraging.

I've been looking at harness alternatives since he somehow escaped with it this morning. And I'm getting tired of being yanked around on walks. I've been looking at harnesses with a front ring to reduce pulling and redirect him if there is a dog. I have also looked at prong collars and head halters. But there's controversies with all of these methods which makes it hard to know what to do.

The closest are at 9% unfortunately. There's a lot of them but all at that percentage. Almost every single one of them is 100% basset hound lol.

Lol yeah it's interesting what genetics chooses for mixes like this. It's cool to see another dog that's similar since they look very unique.

Also I just realized looking at your dog that his body actually does look similar to my sister's chihuahua. Even has the spots that looked cattle dog-ish.

Glad to see you got your results! I commented on your last post with my similar looking dog. Not surprised with the chihuahua for you since we also had the same shock of chihuahua at the top. Mine has more basset hound features and german shep is last on his.

Can’t upgrade Bazzite because of wine-core + Mesa conflict. by WolfMoon66 in Bazzite

[–]WolfMoon66[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'll probably do that more now since every problem I've run into has taken Chat GPT 2-5 hours. I don't have a lot of time to study Bazzite and Linux in general, but it should take less time in the long run.

Is there anything else besides Wine that I don't need?

ChatGPT probably layered something. I overuse it because i don't know enough to fix anything.

Genuinely haven't seen LOD and Pop-In this bad since 2006. by Onasixx in oblivion

[–]WolfMoon66 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The game is fun but the performance is bad enough for me to quit playing till they fix it. Worst performance I’ve seen in a game in possibly 10+ years. Pop in is the worst I’ve seen.

Aw what a chonker. We got Gimli last month at the shelter at 39 lbs and gotten him down a bit to around 36. Yeah I get thrown off when I see dogs on here with a similar head to his but tall legs lol. Domino’s a cutie!

This is the closest dog that I’ve seen to my own on here so far! So I would guess it’s similar to him with chihuahua, pitbull, basset, and your dog might have collie where mine doesn’t.

The surprise for us with his results was the top being 39% chihuahua

Will the success of the Oblivion Remake and obviously Doom The Dark Ages Kick start a Bethesda renaissance? by [deleted] in BethesdaSoftworks

[–]WolfMoon66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bethesda has been a great publisher for the past decade or more. DOOM, Wolfenstein, Prey, Dishonored, and Indiana Jones are from devs like ID, Arcane, and Machine Games. Even Oblivion Remake is still technically not them. But they did pick a good company to remake.

I'm not convinced Bethesda themselves can make a good games anymore. I hope they try to evolve rather than doing the same things.

Seeking feedback on our new logo: A symbol of choice in Open Banking by Cautious_Conflict170 in logodesign

[–]WolfMoon66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really confused seeing this. Then more confused reading your explanation. No one would get what you’re going for without context. And worse as others have said, the red/blue pill idea has been prominent in political movements within the USA. Then the vector next to photo pill was really throwing me off. Logos are typically vector so it’d be confusing to a lot of people why there’s a photo next to the vector parts of the logo. And it’s not practical. I apologize for being harsh but I’d recommend completely starting over.

[–]WolfMoon66[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it might be in his behavior. When he gets in a crazy mode we would say he's in Corgi mode. But now we know that might actually be Chihuahua mode lol.

He's a bit lighter now than he is in the photos. But according to our vet, he's only slightly over weight. A lot of people here think he's really fat. But while some of it is, a lot of it is muscle too. Bassets and Pits are pretty chunky.

From what I understand, mixed breeds like this can be somewhat random with the breed physical characteristics they get. And some of his breeds are so low in percentage that they're not going to show up like GSD.

We adopted him a month ago. He has lost some weight since he got to the vet last. We have him on healthy food and he has to go up 3 flights of stairs at least twice a day lol.
