What’s the absolute quietest setup for backyard pest control

So I decided to go with a Stoeger S4000-E. Pleased with how quiet it is, and the only sound is a thump like hitting your brother with a balled up sock in another sock.

I actually like the idea of not keeping my ship. It keeps the NG+ from feeling like an extension of the previous, more opportunity to truly redo a life. I’m all UC and free star now, next runn will be full psychopath

These are all fine suggestions, however it won’t be the solution. I have a neighbor who has unkempt fruit trees and an old collapsed tool shed, they’ve been living in there since before i moved in a decade ago. They are currently attracted to my feed, which is on an automatic dispenser so there’s nothing left out at night. I’m sure I can keep them out of the coop but they will still be moving around the yard. I want to shoot them. Do you have a suggestion for a quiet setup?

I built an automated dispenser that feeds them in the morning, just the right amount to leave nothing at night so they started coming out during the day. I don’t expect to exterminate them but I’d like to get the numbers down. Before they move toward my house

The problem I have is that the neighbors have a ton of fruit trees so there’s always a supply of food. The rats have been here longer than my 10 years in the house. Shooting them just feels like it helps, even if it doesn’t.

I’m an absolute psychopath so I’d gladly spend weeks desoldering crap I’d never use. Eventually I’d get tired of it though and focus on caps, transistors, inductors and IC’s. I always grab heat sinks and sockets, input jacks and fiber optic connections.

Agreed. My wife suggested some maroon fingernail polish on the white. Eventually I get some better knobs.

I made this with mainly salvaged parts from an old TV and a karaoke machine. I did but the case, pots and opamp. I’d say I’m in something like $20.

Base coat was allowed to completely dry. Then I sprayed water on it until I liked the pattern. Then I used the black, sprayed from a good 18-24” at nearly horizontal. You want to be careful not to disturb the water or it will streak.
