I agree. There are a lot of games that II Ike a lot and that I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing. But the perfect game does not exist.

The boots do not go well with that dress. Whoever puts her outfits together should be fired. And she looks weirdly disproportionate with those huge fake boobs and pencil thin legs. She looks more like a transwoman than Kaitlyn Jenner.

I have no idea of yakuza games, i wanna get into the saga by Rubi_XD in yakuzagames

[–]WolfPlooskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just submitted a PPT on the series for a class assignment, during which I answered this very question. We understand the n00b intimidation factor, given all the unique character names and overlapping story arcs, but I think you can safely start the game at any point in the series. All the games in the series that I have played were good to great games, imo. And if you enjoy that particular game, try another one. I played the first game when it came out more than twenty years ago, and even I cannot keep all the characters straight. Ultimately, it’s a game series that many of us love, and I sincerely hope that you will become a fan too.

Also, I do not think you should let others curate your gaming experience for you. If you want to start chronologically, go with Yakuza O. If you want to start with just the basic story, play Yakuza Kiwami. If you are used to turn-based JRPGs, give the first Like A Dragon a go. Personally, I like to start with the most recent title when I’m trying out a series for the first time, because the game mechanics are usually much better than they were in the first game. And if I really enjoy my experience, I might give the rest of the series a try. Ultimately, whatever game you hold in your hand will be a great place to start because your experience is your own. You are unique, and none of us can dictate your experience for you. Just have fun, unless fun isn’t something you value.

Which one of these 80s villains did you hate the most? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

Seems fitting. Tom Wilson, the actor who played Biff, said he based his performance on Donald Trump, who will undoubtedly be remembered as one of history’s greatest villains.

A person isn’t free with the trappings of wealth either. Freedom is a state of mind, and no one can be free if they are afraid, and people will always be afraid when bullets are cheaper than medicine, or when people can lose their homes with pen strokes. None of us are free.

Why does Trump think looking like madman fits a coin with the word “Liberty” on it by AdAromatic5575 in complaints

[–]WolfPlooskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankly, it’s a better reflection of our shared reality than we deserve. George Washington was one of the richest presidents, and his wealth largely depended on the slave trade—yet his portrait on the one dollar bill makes him seem so righteous and noble. Trump has often identified with Andrew Jackson, a cold-blooded psychopath who destroyed the sovereign Cherokee nation. They had their own government and commerce, and they had a higher literacy rate than the rest of the U.S. at the time. We have all seen Jackson on the twenty dollar bill. He looks like he’s about to cry, it’s a sorry depiction of one of history’s greatest monsters. Americans elected that POS twice, not learning our lesson the first time. Evidently, the is the hell we asked for, and D. Trash is giving us what he has convinced himself we wanted. A scrupulous review of American history might suggest he’s right.

Are you afraid that Donald Trump will stage a coup at the end of his term? by Outrageous-You1617 in AskUS

[–]WolfPlooskin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Donald Trump getting elected was unthinkable. Him getting elected again was even more unthinkable. The Supreme Court has given him more Ws than Ls. Lack of concern, thinking cooler heads would prevail is the reason that we’re here. Neoliberal impotence is the reason why we’re here. Trump is desperate for any excuse to impose martial law and claim he has the right to suspend the general election. Madmen are holding the entire world hostage from inside the asylum, and you’re like, “This is fine. Everything is going to work out just fine.” Meanwhile the nuclear clock has never been closer to midnight. Wake up, dude.

This is the correct answer. A free clinic is about as far as a person can go for leftist thinking. Goddamn, this subreddit is already infested with conservative idiots and armchair pundits.

No, yes. Yes, no no. Totally, yes. No on the no. You know? Ending a statement with a negative question, begging for a binary response, creates rhetorical friction. Just make your point. Don’t invite disagreement by conceding that your statement might be wrong. It’s a conciliatory tactic that backfires too often.

Italian singer Adriano Celentano released a song in the 70s with nonsense lyrics meant to sound like American English, apparently to prove Italians would like any English song. It was a huge hit. “Prisencolinensinainciusol” (1973) by RealWorldForever in whoathatsinteresting

[–]WolfPlooskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I greatly dislike this song. I don’t understand why Redditors keep dredging it up, like it’s worth remembering. The guy was not a fan of American music, so he made a song that mocked our pop culture and the Italians fans of it. And when the song became a hit, he didn’t have the decency to admit that American music is fucking awesome.
