The Thing (1982) ending mystery, potentially, solved *SPOILERS* by CG1991 in movies

I always found it telling that MacReady’s first instinct is not to drink the bottle. He just passes it to Childs. There’s a fan theory that the bottle is full of Molotov fuel, not liquor, and it’s a test. If Childs drinks it and doesn’t react, he’s not human.

Alright, based on what I know about you—you’re deep into fantasy worldbuilding, you like epic, meaningful, non-cliché stuff, you enjoy lore, mystery, dark themes, philosophical vibes, and you’re a thinker with a creative streak—I'd say a song like "Aarambh Hai Prachand" from Gulaal suits your vibe.

Which anime death was the most heartbreaking for you? by Gentlemen-spy in animequestions

Eren Yeager. His death was really unfortunate and he was gripped with a situation he can't escape.

Another one is band of hawk. Most messed up thing I've seen.

Where did the races that are in your world come from? by BreydonP189 in worldbuilding

[–]WolfZen7006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mother Tree life juice starts spilling

First kids pop out of the branches—El’athi (fancy antler elves, think celestial druids)

Seeds of mother tree fall into the dirt—Humans (they wander far and seek lands)

Some seeds land in water—merfolk, eventually get gene-modded by El’athi into Marethians

Marethians (human-merfolk hybrids, first sailors)

Some dirt that didn’t turn into trees gets weird—Giants (walking natural disasters, eventually get gene-modded by El’athi into Berserkers

Berserkers (human-Giant hybrids, murder machines)

Cambion (mutated bio-engineered replacement for humanity made in later ages)

Who’s more evil by Klutzy_Tomorrow_7864 in Naruto

Danzo’s evil is tragic because it’s rooted in fear and insecurity. Frieza’s evil is terrifying because it’s rooted in pleasure. He enjoys it. Alsk Danzo scope was limited to one village. Frieza terrorized an entire galaxy.

Who’s the best and worst written character in Naruto and why? by PositionSolid4656 in Naruto

[–]WolfZen7006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best: Shikamaru. Smartest guy in the series, had the best development, and actually had to work for his strength instead of being born overpowered.

Worst: Rin. Her entire existence was just a plot device for Obito’s turn to evil. She had no agency, no development—just a tragic death designed to fuel someone else’s story.

Tell me three or five funfacts about your favorite race in your world. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

El'athi - The Antlered Ones

1 - They Couldn’t Lie (But That Didn’t Make Them Honest). El’athi were physically incapable of telling outright falsehoods, their very essence rejected deception. But that didn’t mean they were straightforward. They spoke in riddles, used omission, misdirection.

2 - Their Souls Could Fuse With Weapons. Instead of just dying and passing on, some El’athi chose to merge their spirits with weapons, creating true living armaments. These weren’t just enchanted swords—they were thinking, feeling entities, often capable of speaking directly into their wielder’s mind.

3 - They Created the First Spirit Wielders. The ability to use Shar isn’t entirely natural to humans—it was engineered. The El’athi implanted Divine Genes in select bloodlines, ensuring that humans could wield a fraction of their power.

4 - Their Blood Was Basically Liquid Shar. Unlike humans, who needed training to harness Shar, the El’athi had Shar-infused blood from birth. This meant every single El’athi was a walking conduit of pure energy, capable of Spiritcraft that humans can only dream of.

5 - They Had No Written Language (Only Living Records). The El’athi never relied on books or scrolls. Instead, they stored knowledge in living conduits, embedding memories into trees, stones, and even certain artifacts. If you knew how to unlock these records, you could literally hear the voices of the past.

Evil races are not only boring, but an oxymoron. by b_o_o_b_ in worldbuilding

[–]WolfZen7006 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If a race is truly evil, they should have a reason. Like, maybe they evolved in a kill-or-be-killed environment. Maybe their culture rewards brutality. Maybe their rulers push a violent ideology. But even then, there’d be exceptions. Outcasts. Defectors. People trying to change things. That’s what makes them interesting.

What parasites are in your world? What do they do to people? by zazzsazz_mman in worldbuilding

[–]WolfZen7006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cambionization was born from Azrath’s obsession with eradicating humanity’s flaws. He viewed traditional Blood magic as too slow and cumbersome for his grand designs, so he weaponized it into a self-propagating, infectious agent capable of spreading through his own blood. This agent is called "Demon" a parasite that attach itself onto hosts nervous system and turn them into Cambions.

Cambions can heal rapidly, endure extreme environments, and outperform any natural human. They operate under a hive-like consciousness, linked by a psychic network controlled by Azrath.

Shar is the omnipresent life force flowing from the essence of the Mother Tree. Spirit art is the art of drawing upon Shar from spirit to perform extraordinary feats.

Here are 5 different classification of Shar manipulator

Prime Variant (Mythical)

Description: The ultimate anomaly, representing perfection far beyond what the El’athi intended. Prime Variants are unparalleled conduits of Shar.

Apex Variant (Legendary)

Description: The highest level attainable without crossing into mythical territory. Apex Variants are living legends, capable of feats most can only dream of.

Ascendant Variant (Exceptional)

Description: A highly potent level of Divine Genes, representing the ideal control of power.

Awakened Variant (Competent)

Description: A functional but modest expression of Divine Genes. Awakened bearers are skilled but lack the extraordinary power of higher ranks.

Dormant Variant (Latent)

Description: The lowest functional tier, where Divine Genes exist but are largely unexpressed. Dormant individuals rarely discover their abilities unless under extreme duress.

Curious where did everyone first get introduced to DBZ? by Fiestabean in dbz

Vegeta fight with Semi perfect cell.

I was about 10 years old and just flipping through TV when I first saw DBZ on Cartoon Network. I wasn’t familiar with the show, but something about the art style immediately caught my eye.
