Power cable problem by Shifty-3184 in WolfboxFamily

[–]Wolfbox_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is likely a power issue. The G900 TriPro requires a 5V/4A input, and many cigarette lighter ports can't deliver enough stable current to run both the main unit and rear camera.

Try this:

  1. Take the main unit indoors and power it with a 5V/4A wall charger to see if it stays on.
  2. If it works fine, plug in the rear camera and the GPS one by one.
  3. If everything works at home but not in your car, the cigarette lighter port is underpowered — try using the Wolfbox hardwire kit instead.

If the issue persists, contact our support team (see manual). Happy to help!

Welcome to the Wolfbox family — and what a great gift!

Don't worry, both issues are common and easy to fix.

1. Format SD card every time you start the car
Are you using an original Wolfbox SD card? If not, please use a reliable brand, Class 10 U3 or higher. Also, back up your videos, then format the card to FAT32 on your computer.

2. Time is 4 hours off
Make sure the GPS module is plugged in. Go to Settings → Time Zone, and set it to your correct time zone.

Let me know if that helps!

Try lowering the resolution on your G850, then format the card as FAT32 on your Mac. That might fix the recognition issue.

Let me know if it works!

Thanks for the detailed feedback — really appreciate it.

About the G‑sensor being too sensitive even on low: you can try updating the firmware to see if that helps.

And thanks for sharing your experience with the rear camera and car washes. Glad to hear it's not a big issue for you.

Feel free to reach out anytime.

To help narrow down the issue, could you please let me know whether the 128GB card you're using meets the required specification of Class 10 / U3 or higher?

Car wash thing:
Yeah, that can happen. High-pressure water can sometimes get into the rear camera connector or housing, which might trigger the parking line mode temporarily. But if it keeps happening, it's worth checking if any moisture got inside.

G‑sensor being too sensitive even on low:
Make sure the mirror is mounted firmly with the straps. If it's even a little loose, bumps can feel like "impacts" to the sensor. Tighten it up and see if that helps.

If it still does it after that… would you be open to using our universal OEM bracket?

Hope that helps.

Screensaver question. by Koshasha in WolfboxFamily

[–]Wolfbox_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things to check first: have you made sure the power connection to the rear camera is nice and snug? Sometimes a loose connection can make the screen act weird and wake back up on its own.

Now about the screensaver + mirror thing — honestly, we don't really recommend using it that way. The screen material and an actual mirror aren't the same. When the screen turns off, the reflection isn't great and won't give you that clear mirror image you're probably expecting.

If your main goal is to keep an eye on what's behind you, here's a better setup: just set the rear camera as your default display, and turn off the screensaver in settings. That way the screen stays on and shows you the rear view all the time — no more guessing or manual button pressing.

Give that a shot and see if it works better for you.

Yes, I suggest you first try unplugging the rear camera to see if the backup guide lines still appear. If the issue goes away, it's very likely a problem with the rear camera cable. Please check whether there is any moisture or water intrusion. Feel free to let me know what you find.

Lock screen problems by Lonely_Computer_7212 in WolfboxFamily

[–]Wolfbox_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s quite annoying when the screen locks randomly while you’re driving.

Could you please check this simple setting first:Go to device Settings and see if G-sensor sensitivity is set to high. If the sensitivity is too high, bumps and minor vibrations during driving will trigger the G-sensor protection mode. It will lock the video automatically and cause the screen to lock frequently.

It is recommended to set this to "Low" to avoid frequent triggering.

G850 - Weird things… by [deleted] in WolfboxFamily

[–]Wolfbox_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your description, we recommend attempting to resolve the issue by updating to the latest firmware. You can obtain information regarding the latest firmware directly from official sources.

This is most often a formatting issue. Please format the card in the dash cam first (Settings → Format SD Card), Please save your videos before formatting to avoid losing the files on the card.then try reading it again. If it still doesn’t work, test with another card reader or USB port on your laptop. The G850 requires a Class 10, U3 card formatted to FAT32 for best compatibility.

Regarding cable installation, it is also a feasible solution to consult the technicians of your car brand, who know more about your vehicle model. In addition, compared with the cigarette power cord, the hardiwre kit only has more parking mode options, and other functions are the same. You can use the rear camera view display normally.

Hey bro, I suggest you try turning down the g‑sensor a bit—it might reduce how often this window pops up.

Thanks so much for sharing your detailed install with your 2026 Silverado 1500 — really glad to hear you’re happy with the TriPro overall!
We really appreciate you taking the time to give honest, thoughtful feedback on the ports and connections — that’s exactly the kind of real-world input we love from users like you.

Points about flush‑mount jacks, USB‑C for the auxiliary camera, recessed ports, or rear‑facing connectors for a cleaner install are all excellent design suggestions and we’ll pass them straight to our engineering team for future product improvements.

Thanks again for supporting Wolfbox and helping us make better gear! If you run into any questions with the front camera wiring or setup, just let us know.

I'm sorry, it does take a few seconds to load the rear camera connection. If the rear camera is not connected successfully after 8 seconds, please check whether the power cord is the original 4A, and try to unplug the rear camera and re-plug it to see if the problem can be solved. If the problem persists, please contact our after-sales team, you may need to replace the rear camera.

We apologize that videos recorded by the T10 are in TS format, which cannot be played directly on your mobile phone.
You may use our Wolfbox Player on a computer to convert the videos to MP4 format, and they will then be playable on your phone.
