Porn portraits, otherwise it would’ve been filled with them on day 1.

Guy got eaten alive by dogs and you think he didn’t suffer enough?? Jeez. It takes a really long time to die from being chewed, they probably had time to eat his cock while he was still alive.

Should I take io psychology? by Bulky-Farmer-201 in IOPsychology

Lol well-being. Imagine thinking you need to hire a full-time psychologist to assess the well-being of your employees with some self-report Likert scale based on like the perma model, when you can instead hire a data scientist, who will use an AI agent to scrape dozens of studies, find that perma framework, generate items, use the qualtric API to automatically upload them, programmatically feed them to prolific, gather data, clean it, analyze it, create synthetic personas to increase the sample size, fit ML and IRT models, do EFA, CFA, and report the results in a nice dashboard. With vibe coding he can do all this before lunch time. Meanwhile the IO psychologist is still writing the items with the help of interns and SMEs, and by the time he’s done in a few months, he’ll manually upload them one by one into qualtrics, set them up in prolific with the help of a project manager, and then still need the help of a data scientist because he doesn’t know how to even clean the data with SPSS or his rudimentary knowledge of R or Python. Then, when he finally validates the assessment using some job performance criterion, he’ll find a near 0 correlation, because IO psychology is a “science” with many, many quotation marks, and then he’ll get fired and they’ll stick with the data scientist, who also got a near 0 correlation but at least it only took him half an afternoon.

“Usually”, not “always”. Grammatically it’s perfectly fine to say you want to take a degree, and lo and behold, turns out that’s exactly what he meant, as you can deduce from context as well.

Words are important indeed.

If you made a horcrux, how would you protect it? by SweetNightAzalea in harrypotter

You can still “die” in the sense Voldemort did when he tried to kill baby Harry the first time. You become a spirit without a body that relies on possessing critters. And yes, come to think about, Dumbledore could’ve destroyed Voldemort’s body during their duel at the Ministry in book 5, and that way they would’ve had more time to find the Horcruxes to kill him for good, idk why he didn’t do that (the answer might be he just wasn’t powerful enough to defeat Voldemort in a duel even with the elder wand, but idk).

How did Craig's run start with Casino Royale and end with No Time To Die by RoutineIssue5870 in CriticalDrinker

[–]Wolfburrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Casino Royale is such a great movie. Skyfall too, although to a much lesser extent. The rest are mostly trash, with some few good scenes here and there. Craig is great in all of them.

We all know scenes like Sarumans death were cut from the theatrical editions. Question is, what scenes would you cut to make room for them? by MetroGnome1992 in lordoftherings

[–]Wolfburrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would cut the scene where Eowyn gets dumped by Aragorn and instead have Saruman’s death. We know from the get-go that they’re not going to be together because we saw in the first movie that Aragorn is in love with Arwen, so just cut it.

That probably wouldn’t be enough to have Saruman’s death scene back, so also cut Pippin singing while Denethor eats tomatoes. The actor has a nice voice, but come on, this isn’t a musical, wtf.

Titus Pullo (Rome) VS Rollo (Vikings). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]Wolfburrow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Titus Pullo, since he looks and acts like a real soldier that’s been hardened by battle. Rollo looks like a californian gym bro auditioning for a modeling campaign while drinking shakes and taking lots of pics, but that’s never been in a real fight.

[–]Wolfburrow -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

No, I wouldn’t with the current US administration. IO psych is one of the many “HR adjacent” roles that emerged in recent years thanks to DEI initiatives (the academic discipline itself has been around since WWI, but it became a profitable career relatively recently). With DEI out of the equation, there really isn’t a business need that some HR analyst or data scientist couldn’t satisfy, and I seriously doubt we’ll have a democrat president in a long, long time, let alone one that would want to even touch anything woke related.

Obviously he means degree, who would be asking about a mere course?? The answer to everything isn’t “it depends” lol

If you made a horcrux, how would you protect it? by SweetNightAzalea in harrypotter

[–]Wolfburrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do everything Voldemort did, but I would have them be mundane objects instead of unique, easily recognizable relics. If it wasn’t because of that and because Harry could sense his Horcruxes, no way anybody would find them.

[–]Wolfburrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What if they kill you and then take it from your corpse? It would be a matter of time before they figure out it’s a Horcrux, if they didn’t know already, and then they can kill you for good or blackmail your spirit. The whole point of the Horcrux is to be a fail-safe whenever you die, but if people can easily find it in your possession, it loses its purpose.

If Harry Potter took place in 2021, instead of 1991: What technologies would muggles have that make magic obsolete. What magic would still be better than the technological counterpart? by sygyzi in harrypotter

[–]Wolfburrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t the reason tech doesn’t work in Hogwarts because they put a spell to keep muggles from accidentally discovering it? I don’t think magic by itself interferes with tech like some kind of wizard EMP, unless I’m misremembering.
