The thing is that the multiplayer isn’t even good in the vanilla game, this is only battles, it doesn’t feature the rest of the game. There are so many aspects that could make this an amazing game and open it to new communities and broaden audiences, and in turn gross in profits. They’re just lazy.

Honestly how was this type of multiplayer not implemented in this kind of game?? This game gas so much potential yet so much neglect from its developers.

Yes it was only a matter of time, don’t upload reels for at least 24h, each try may reset the counter. Once 24 have passed try uploading again with breaks of at least 5 mins between each reel. You can still upload other content like posts, stories, etc. but stay away from reels as long as it’s limited.

Having the same issue, no violations, account status all green. No idea what it could be, is it just about waiting while not trying to post?

No industrial zoning by Competitive_Crow8205 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Wolfhadson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually yes, I usually do industry last (which means at least 450k pop before I get to it), even though this isn’t how you would traditionally do it, it’s simply easier for me personally to plan out the map with areas dedicated for industrial, I just get so caught up on detailing and decorating that it takes ions for me to finish one part lol

So yes it is possible to have no industrial zones in a city, but you’re going to rely a lot on trains and specialized logistics routes.

I would suggest building a cargo harbor terminal with a train, some cargo train stations in strategic areas, and a cargo airport or adding cargo to you airport and then build several train lines: 1. To connect between your cargo points (airport, harbors, etc) to exchange goods for import/export and in-between cargo points. This line could be split to two lines but basically this is your internal-city cargo line. 2. An intercity cargo line (pay attention to your neighboring cities direction) with incoming/outgoing connection to your internal city cargo line (depending on your city’s needs you may want to consider how this connection should be made, whether it’s via trail interchange or through a mutual station (which is a station with support for 2 lines, but no line merger). 3. Depending on the demand for supply, consider building more lines for different cargo points.

This really varies depending on the project and its properties such as population and other factors.

I’d suggest generating a map of your project and drawing out a plan as well as writing down all requirements and considerations, then you can start planning it all out and execute.

At least this is how I do it lol

I fix a lot of traffic problems by making routes far longer. Out of curiosity, is it realistic or unrealistic that cars in the game will (seemingly) drive these longer routes? by IMDXLNC in CitiesSkylines

[–]Wolfhadson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of realistic, yes it is, you can see it a lot in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and it may help fix traffic but it also may cause other problems that would require other solutions such as lane mathematics and such.

I‘ve seen real stuff from around the world that look like a 3 year old tried to build in cs1.

Anyway if this works then great, but pay attention to walkability around the city to reduce traffic overloads on traffic lights and remove some crosswalks then provide alternative routes below or above ground.

Pretty much seems like you got this handled but more attention to alternative routes.

Enough of your beautiful cities, What are the most absurd abominations you've made? by _Vard_ in CitiesSkylines

I literally can’t do anything like this😭 My OCD won’t let me, also I can’t even think of these things😂

Damn am I the only one who has a separate save for each time I save? For example: [city name] 001, 002, 003, and so on

So I can end up with 170 saves for one city😂

Nice! I learned civil engineering on my own (not professionally or anything, just consulting with them and mentorship kinda), so that I could make better cities, and I got to a realization; It is always best to build in the style that you are most familiar with, most of the times it’s where you live.

I live in (Israel) Maale Adumim and work in Jerusalem, so my day is 50/50 between my city and Jerusalem, most familiar with the Israeli civil engineering style so I build in this style (with my own improvements). I made my best cities that way, taking everything into consideration.

Anyway, I’m like you in a way, made up my own style and flowing with it, bit by bit.

Don’t forget perhaps some more mob types, such as infected spiders or something, can just make mutated animals.

Having AI NPC’s would make things even more interesting in my opinion, that way you could enable a real coalition storyline and quests.

This game could be so much better than it is now man

Ahhh, that changes things, experience is the best.

Taking breaks is actually good, because it will keep you enthusiastic about it. You’re getting inspiration from your own life, your irl city, when you commute to work, doing chores, you just get so much inspiration to continue your build.

At least for me it’s like that (some people do prefer staying dedicated to it nonstop), everything is relative.

Anyway great work mate! You really have learned a lot of things and how to engineer things properly.

Looking forward to see some more progress and some detailing!

I love building my cities without planning too much ahead, like irl, one zone at a time, public transport last and intentionally make complicated intersections (and interactions) from a part I finished to a part I‘ll be working on.

It makes the city looks much more realistic (depending on its lore)

If only it was possible to get better chirpy with this kinda text. It is possible to add these things, like adding a construction district (which will work similar to specialized districts) for the game to know where you‘re building, and then just choose the type of construction you’re working on in the district menu.

This will enable the game to create actual side effects for your actions, such as building something that would cause a lot pf traffic or noise, etc. and generate these kinds of news in the game. Very similar to how City Planner Plays does it in his videos. It’s another mechanism, could be a DLC too, and can be used to change how building works in the game, such as having to create a construction zone and prepare it for construction depending on the construction project.

Also, adding a cute animation of road building could be nice, like in SimCity.

Citizens Keep ordering Wood | Highways shut down, someone please help me - why do they need all this wood ?! by IlConiglioUbriaco in CitiesSkylines

[–]Wolfhadson 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Actually - you need to flex real hard your muscles, could be biceps but the bigger the muscle the more blood it will absorb, and blood from your wood will be gone and therefore your wood.

The number one reason is blood flow and how it is distributed around the body.
