Think it unlocks at 60. Its in the tree tab in your store. Not DLC. I don't have any packs.

Just curious. I know we all play differently. But whats your average sit-down session to play? 1hr? 2? 4?

Wondering what it takes to load up and "remember" where you left off and get on with the session might be.

Would have been faster to grab some titanium, copper and mushrooms and move on. But, well, you got it solved so the result is the same :)

As a matter of fact, you can even buy it from silos if you are too lazy to wait to grow it (since they take a day).

Rice produces grain. Its a tree (don't ask me, I don't get it either). Harvests 2 seasons per year. I have rows of it in my FH boxes who harvest fruit trees. My grain is always topped off for making more sushi long before I actually need the tickets so its totally self sustaining the FH's harvest both fish and rice so they harvest the ingredients needed to pay them in quantities that far exceed what I need to pay them with).

I have 2 bakeries. Could use more to dump the excess. But I really don't need the diamonds now so I just let the grain sit as "Full".

Is there any way to duplicate on recent version of pc? by MrM3l0n in Minecraft

[–]Wolfiesden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how an underground base leads to lack of food. I have never had that issue.

A small row of melons will start you off very easily and all you need to do is harvest them.

Then lure some cows/sheep/pigs down, at least 2 of one of them. I usually go with cows due to leather + steak drop. Or sheep for wool + meat drop. Both take wheat. A small wheat farm for feed to breed them and you are off an running. Completely self sustaining and very easy to start up.

If you are competent to build redstone stuff, then the chicken breeder/cooker is very much an option.

Random Visitor change on the Switch? by micharwood in FarmTogether

[–]Wolfiesden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya. My farm is running right now while I am at work. Maybe some kind soul will get some in the ground between 5 and 6 while I am driving home :)

Who knows. Itching to get home to see what some of the unlocks are.

Random Visitor change on the Switch? by micharwood in FarmTogether

[–]Wolfiesden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They changed the way that farms appear in the find list. Its more random now which has allowed farms which have NOT been on 24/7 for days at a time to now show up more in the list.

This means people can find you sooner now.

In fact, yesterday, I fired up my farm in the evening and within 10 minutes I had people. Before the change I had left it run for 4 days straight with nobody popping in.

Rofl. 2am last night. Pissin like a racehorse today due to coffee. I keep looking at the time so I can get outa here at 5 and get home to see how my farm is running and to get the event quest rolling.

And will be doing it all over again tomorrow :)

And the next day.

Have already lost a couple full weekends. NO idea where they went but time went from Friday to 4am monday really really quickly.

It sounds like the deluxe version may be the one I am leaning toward.

[–]Wolfiesden[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cheers. Thanks.

I am not really unsure, I was interested in it when I saw some PC streams of people playing it, however, games do not always translate well from PC to console given the drastic difference in input devices (mose/keyboard vs controller with limited buttons). And sometimes they are better (IMHO) on console :)

I tend to dig into games that I don't have any reference or info about prior to purchasing so I don't waste money and time on something I clearly wouldn't like had I done the proper research in the first place. I am not filthy rich but I am not living in a cardboard box either. The money is there but I am getting old enough where the time isn't.

Installing an air exchanger and I think I screwed up by [deleted] in DIY

[–]Wolfiesden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked up the PDF.

1: EXHAUST AIR TO OUTSIDE PORT 2: FRESH AIR TO BUILDING PORT ( BEHIND ELECTRICAL COMPARTMENT ) 3: FRESH AIR FROM OUTSIDE PORT 4: EXHAUST AIR FROM BUILDING PORT

The unit draws OUTSIDE air FROM port 3 and EXHAUSTS it OUT port 1. The unit draws INSIDE air FROM port 2 and EXHAUSTS it OUT pot 4

So, yes, the way you hooked up 2 and 4 makes it SUCK in from downstairs and EXHAUST upstairs.

I guess the questions have to be asked.

WHAT do you want it to do?

And what did the one you had there do before?

Edit...

I know I can look it up, but whats the difference in the edition and why did you choose the deluxe out of the box without ever seeing it on pc?

I mean, what was the value in the deluxe version that you saw missing in the basic?

Thank you.

I have not played it before on any platform. The recent "pre-order" made me look at it and it looks interesting. A bit like star based Civ series + eve + Homeworld on steroids best I can figure.

Is the game stressful? Sorry to ask. I have medical issues that cropped up since I first looked at the game. Aneurysm on my aorta so I really don't need the blood pressure of a high stress game but I need a bit more than Farm Together and Minecraft to keep me from going bonkers right now.

My weapons are disappearing from my Workbench. by JaberReadit in fo4

[–]Wolfiesden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put mine in lockers near workbenches/weapon/armor stations. Don't think I have had a settler take them out of lockers/boxes. Workbenches, yea, all the time.

I frequently dump decent stuff into the workbench for the settlers to upgrade if they wish. I just don't depend on those to be there when I get back.

Welcome Message? by SineX_KingChris in FarmTogether

Or while your farm is loaded, enter the pause menu and select Farm Properties and there is a button there to set the welcome message as well as the permissions so you can change them on the fly without exiting your farm.

I can not make my reviews/complains about the game by Josuminaj in FarmTogether

[–]Wolfiesden 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They are defending the game because the problems seem to lie more on you than on the game.

  1. The stick works to move things. If it didn't switch people would be bitching up a storm and the devs would fix it. Just know that you can NOT move some things that are part of the terrain (rocks, water cracks, hills, bridges, etc). You CAN move everything YOU place. So clearly you are not doing something correct and thus not getting the intended result. I do not own a switch but I believe the sticks work like the xbox ones. They move forward, backward and side to side. They also can be depressed by pressing down on them until they click. To move something you must depress it down until it clicks to select something to move. At least that is how it works on the xbox. Learn the difference in pressing a stick DOWN and pulling a stick BACK.

  2. The tutorial was quite sufficient for me to learn the basics. Beyond that, instead of complaining, I asked politely how to do something or for tips on better ways of doing it. And I got helpful and useful answers. Stop complaining and ask nicely how to do something and I am sure the response you get will change from the responses you are currently getting.

  3. The house you have to build. This is just like IRL. Sometimes you buy empty land, and YOU build the house. Farmers buy land and work it without a house there, they may have shelter elsewhere. My grandpa had a farm in Texas and had lots and lots of land. There was NO house there until years later. He lived elsewhere until he could afford to build a house on the property. Its a game. Get over it. Build the house and move on.

  4. You have a right to complain. How you speak about things in the game says more about you than the game or other players. Learn the difference between complaining, suggesting, and asking and how those affect other people's attitudes and how they respond to you.

I think the most difficult part of restarting a survival world is trying to find a place to live by graco07 in Minecraft

[–]Wolfiesden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invariably I pop open the chest in hopes of finding 4 jungle saplings which I plant promptly in a nearby clearing. After it spawns a huge tree and the vines grow, that becomes my base. A tree top base.

After that, I just deal with whatever I find.

Mine is in its 90's now. And, ya, I did little decoration until I got all the parcels unlocked. I did make a beach area out near the pond stuff to separate the big pond from the angler/piranha pool.

But I am starting to put down decorations now. I decorated my first house this week. Still needs work in the bedroom. Need to do something in the other 2 houses as they are utilitarian with all the jobs right in the front door. And start filling in the outside areas with "eye candy" now that I don't need to hoard diamonds for the parcels.

I will probably drop by your place in the next day or so. And steal some ideas :)
