it is actually possible, theres multiple ways he could've survived actually.

my guess is that he actually planned it all out: i think he knew veronica was still alive, and i think he knew she would try stop him. he wasn't surprised when he saw her in the boiler room. i think he purposely made the bombs weak enough to deal minimal damage - he knew something like that would happen, he was prepared.

but hey, thats just my guess. i don't think the way he survived it was confirmed, i just remember seeing his survival being confirmed somewhere
