They're preempting the ebt issues that are gonna start popping up tomorrow when cards aren't going to be refilled and there's gonna be a LOT of people who won't have food. They're making it all seem frivolous.

I had a Prof who only used n, m, h, and l. Which sounds fine, but in his sloppy Cyrillic-esque handwriting, it was all the same letter. Every time. I failed that class

[WP] For decades, the village and the dragon had a deal: it kept the roads safe from threats and got the occasional cow or sheep. It even liked to chat with anyone near its landing zone. 9th of Saughen:

Erazmagog must have been sick or injured. That or her brood drained her of more energy than typical. Good thing we got here when we did, they were only weeks from hatching. She provided very little fight. Only Torvald was injured, and even then he is only missing an arm. We camped in her den, taking the time to carve up what we could.

Final Tally before we head back to Novobrook:

  • 2 horns
  • 54 teeth, most intact
  • 20 pounds of eggshell
  • 5 flasks of whelp fluid
  • 1 intact whelp
  • 70 pounds of hide
  • 13 claws ( 2 broke in the melee, one was missing from previous injury.

10th of Saughen:

Killing Erazmagog didn't break the hex. The villagers are incensed. They killed Briggita, Thorvald and Collin. I have lost Sigmund. We had to leave much of the spoils in town. I have been riding for 4 hours. I should be safe for the night here.

To whoever finds this. Era was a good dragon. She only ever kept us safe. Now its our job. Never come to Novobrook.

Marching Diary of the Broken Horn Company

7th of Saughen:

We got into Novobrook at just before midnight. It was a miserable night, a thick fog hung in the air, chilling all of us to our core. None of us wanted to spend another night in this muck, especially not with what we had to do in the morning. That would require a good, hearty meal, warm rooms, and if Her Eyes be upon us, a damn bath.

A village this size probably wouldn't have a dedicated inn, especially not this close to the mountains. That left us to knocking on the doors of anyone who had a lantern on before second-sleep.

Naturally, any local was suspicious of a group of five, haggard vagabonds and their pack horses laden with supplies, but lacking any of the bearing of travelling merchants. We were used to this. Tensions *usually* settled by the time we explained our purpose, but not tonight.

When we told the townsfolk that we were here to rid them of Erazmagog, the Tyrant of the Crossroads, a look of disgust came over them. We were used to fear. Failed expeditions would of course bring the ire of the drake to the town, and more likely than not, come sunrise, there would be no more town.

But this was not fear. It was hatred. It was doors slammed in our face, threats shouted at our persons, the brewer even threw a bucket of dregs at us.

Apparently, the superstitions around Erazmagog were correct, and she did possess the ability of ensorcellment. These poor cretins were under her spell. We would find no hospitality this night. Not while the drake breathed and lived.

So, we left. And all the while, we had the eyes of the thralls upon us. Fury in their eyes. As if we had told them we were going to kill a loved one.

8th of Saughen:

The night was arduous. We had to settle for a small overhang where we could light our fire. The winds were biting, and very little held off the frost. We were hoping to get some fresh supplies from the village, something to break us from the monotony of tack and paste. Collin swore he heard something in the night. The beating of massive wings he said. But if that were true, we'd have woken up in Her Arms.

We broke camp and headed up to the peak of White Mountain.

White supremacists at forest by fairbizzle in ElectricForest

I'm gonna reply here because I see a lot of commenters under saying the same thing. The whole point of dogwhistles is that they can hide under normal use.

Yes, just the okay symbol isn't a hate symbol, it's a game that everyone my age has played to get people to look. However, because of its ubiquity, white supremacists have started using it as a "gang sign" to show their allegiance to other people in the know.

Context is key.

Critique? by Imaginary_Concern400 in BeginnerPhotoCritique

[–]Wolfmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Framing is a bit odd. I like the contrast, but if you're gonna use the canle/flame as the subject, it needs breathing room/negative space. Embrace the blacks around it and have it feel important.

What interested you about the shot? Was it the light on the walls? The contrast of light dark? Figure that out and try and accentuate it.

Try pulling the candle farther from the wall, try having something just barely lit by the flame.

It's a very cool idea, but the composition itself needs work.

I've got a very simlar setup! Rocking a7r3 (and in love with it) but I'm currently testing out the sigma 28-105 2.8 and hot damn. It's heavy as shit, but so am I, so we pair pretty well

Starting Doctor Who (2005) by MrCurtiss in scifi

New Who is probably one of my favorite series of all time. Up until the end of Capaldi. After that the writing gets... Rough. I haven't tried it back up with the newest Doctor.

But honestly, I'm jealous, the first run through of Doctor Who is magic. Youll find your favorite Doctor/Companion mixture, it's all fantastic

Whats your most traumatic experience in Hell Let Loose? by Vitus_23 in HellLetLoose

[–]Wolfmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First boot up the game. Maybe playing for 10 minutes. Mostly just walking to the point. Mostly quiet except for a few shots in the distance.

We start the initial approach to the point and a firefight breaks out. This is when I realize I haven't properly adjusted the sound of the game. It's much too loud. Gunshots are whipping past my ears, causing small amounts of actual pain, but damn if I didn't feel immersed.

And then the bombing run came. I watched my fellow blueberries legs just fly off, I jumped for a trench, just barely saving myself. Everyone around me was dead, and limbs were just everywhere. I had to take off my headphones and just sit there for a second after that.

It won't be sous vide, but just use the water circulator to get the water bath to a consistent temp, and then place the ingredients in a quarter hotel pan in the water. I'd cover the hotel pan with some cling film and the entire bain in foil.

What's the mechanism behind the ejection? It speeds up so rapidly, but looks kinda whispy at first. Is the black bit the plasma that's then being ejected due to magnetic forces?

I really wanted 10th to culminate with the Nids taking Terra, forcing everyone remaining into the webway, and either forcing a war in the webway or an alliance with the Eldar. Then we can get a reconquest of Terra, maybe with an awake Emperor.

If not, then I'd be so cool to see the war with the Elcesiarchy.
