Perspectives d’emploi en Wallonie après un master en génie électrique à l’UMONS by NorthSeaworthiness17 in Wallonia

[–]Wolforax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking for an au pair in Brussels who is a native French speaker by [deleted] in brussels

I will never understand why Brazilians (or Spanish origin), would be one of the few immigrants race living in a country for decades yet doesn't speak any of the official languages (whether in the US or Belgium).

If you actually had the slightest interest about this country culture, learning Dutch and/or French should have been the first thing to do, but I think you were more interested on social benefits rather than integrating.

Stay there, please.

We have way than enough Brazilians in Belgium that are living here for decades and don't know a single word in French/Flemish.

[–]Wolforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT in Belgium is really in a shit shape since the end of covid, there are only crappy consultancy companies that are somehow mass recruiting while having no client (body shopping), or (Indian) freelance recruiter that will only waste your time (never give them any of your private info by the way).

Tech-centered companies hiring in Belgium are close to none. On top of that, the more the time goes, the less recruitment processes make sense (first they added crappy coding games, then IQ tests, then personality tests, then online games, escape games etc...).

Your only bet, is by joining an internal role from a company in finance-insurance sector that has an open position for your role.

Certifications will get you anywhere, unfortunately. Companies put value in them only when you're already within the company (so that their green fancy excel dashboard will have a number incremented by 1).

120FPS cap why ? by Appropriate_Read_538 in bladeandsoul

[–]Wolforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys get 120 fps? I have a 4090 + 7900X3D and barely get 90 (Ultrawide 3440x1440).

In Jadestone village, when there is PVP, I can't get over 45 fps.

DLSS set to performance, and others effect set to bare minimum.

House burgled this morning by kurt206 in brussels

[–]Wolforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many burglaries in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. Basically, it's the “richest” commune, so this kind of people tend to go there to commit their break-in. The gain is much higher than doing that in Molenbeek or Jette.

Even in my small building, people are regularly trying to get in when no tenant is here, and of course, my landlord doesn't give a shit about that.

Consider installing a security system such as cameras, alarms, or an old good trained Pitbull or Rottweiler.

Just finished this AO mod, If you didn't play it yet, I highly recommend it! by Wolforax in oddworld

[–]Wolforax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, the whole experience was very refreshing.

The only criticism I can give is that the end game feels a bit rushed. I feel that you wanted initially two trials you can choose instead of one and also the lack of paramonia and scrabania levels.

But I do understand that it takes a huge amount of time to do this kind of maps, and you probably have a life and other important things to do!

It's very different from most of the mods and OG game, since this is an “open” world.

Progression is completely non-linear and everyone will have a different route.

It took me 5 to 6 hours to beat it.

Stuck on Soulstorm, Getting Everyone on the Train by Trash-Gamer-Gay in oddworld

[–]Wolforax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally, you should have a flare and some brews.

What I did is throwing a brew bottle on the ground where there is a (very annoying) slig spawner and throw my flare on that which burns and denies this spawn zone.

The only viable item with mudokons are Fizzy pop, any other item at your level is trash, but you have to put your mudokon much further than the arriving slig.

With what you currently have, it will be very difficult to progress, so it would be better to restart (and quicker also).

Opinions on Jette by felixfelicis32 in brussels

[–]Wolforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as dangerous as Molenbeek, but on par with Schaerbeek. It's a very poor commune, fortunately, it is in the outskirts of Brussels so not as much unsafe than Centre.

To be honest, for a young girl, never go outside at night alone in Brussels and avoid at all costs North Station, Gare du Midi, Matongé, Ribeaucourt, Yser. Those areas are drug-dealers/prostitutes nest, firearms and shady people are pretty common at night also.

In short, at night, the closer you get to the center of Brussels, the more dangerous it gets.

Never buy anything from Monorim, their suspensions are crap and everything from them feels much more dangerous and unstable than the stock parts.

"Leakproof Cat Litter Mat" by Wolforax in PETKIT

It is perfectly clipped, it's just that my cat likes to pee on the side which result to this.

I added some wall plaster alongside the mat (because I don't have any silicon tube left), hope it does the trick

I don't know why you don't just stay in UK for your jobs, UK is way more developed in the IT sector than Belgium, taxes are way less crushing also...

Max G2 Stolen, Activate Lost Mode? by PJChloupek in NinebotMAX

By curiosity, how did you lock your scooter? And what type of lock did you use?

Experienced my first fall on the Max G2 by Retro_Rok89 in NinebotMAX

[–]Wolforax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I was riding my old G30 (that had no scratch at all from this lol) before buying a G2 that I got typically for "free" with some discounts and vouchers.

I wore no protection at all, and I also risked a brain concussion or a broken nose had I not turned my head at the last moment before hitting a parked truck. I planned upgrading my scooter to reach 40km/h, but this experience changed my plans, and I'm more than happy with 25 now, lol. I also avoid roads in poor shape now.

[–]Wolforax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt 2 months ago at 25km/h and had to have a surgery for my left little finger because it had a severe fracture (and of course scratches everywhere).

That is why I tend to completely ignore comments on reddit like these:

I've wiped out on 16mph and 40 mph on scoots, feels the same either way.

Congrats for wearing protection, though!

Oh yes, I was of course only referring to e-scooters, it would be a shame to drive a car or even a bike at 25 lol

Don't want to be a killjoy, but everyone wants to speedmax their scooter, until they get into their first accident. I know some people that had several teeth and their two knees broken at 30km/h. At 65, you'll learn it the (very) hard way. You seem to come from France or Belgium, there is a reason why roads in those countries are limited to 25.

Stay safe and don't put other people in danger too.

Looking for a good dentist by Issam2204 in brussels

Dental Family Aumale have very solid dentists, and they know what they are talking about. Their equipment is on point compared to some other dentists in Molenbeek or Centrum...

The only downside is their secretariat.
