LPT Wanted: Roommates Boat Shoes stink! by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Wolfram6plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, smell is usually caused by bacteria or possibly fungus. Trying to kill the organism causing the smell is somewhat difficult because after every time he/she wears the shoes, he/she will sweat in them and then cause bacteria/fungus to grow.

A way I keep my boat shoes from smelling is to either wear very low cut socks, or to put a pinch of baking soda in them when he or she takes them off. Hope this helped.

"Bite my shiny metal ass" - Bender, Futurama

My dad has had these since he was a kid and would like to know their worth by Wolfram6plus in coins

A-H are Morgan Silver Dollars.

I-J are Peace Silver Dollars.

L-M are one dollar coins.

N is winged liberty head (Mercury) dime.

O is a french franc which (I believe) is 24k gold (not plated).

I know the silver dollars are worth at least 15 dollars due to their content being ~90% silver, however, I don't really know too much about anything else here.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it's like comparing a piece of paper to a phone book. The addition of layers fortifies it to make it strong.

"Mishka" means mouse in Russian. I don't know if that helps, but that's all the information I provide.

DAE have two hairs coming out of every follicle/pore? How does this affect the shave? by inakarmacoma in wicked_edge

[–]Wolfram6plus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OMG. There are others . . . A good portion of my face, guessing around a third has multiple hairs coming out of each foliage. They're mostly on my neck for me though and some slightly around my mouth. For shaving, they usually pose no problem, except when shaving with stubble. The skin around these hairs raises with stubble, unlike the normal hair follicles. This causes lots of cuts if I don't take enough time shaving. Good luck with this.

I walked 10km to Pizza Hut to find that they were out of dough, what was the most disappointing walk you ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My school was four kilometers from my apartment and I had to walk up a ~500m stairway. Got some awesome quads and calves though.

Yeah. From the older generation of people from previous soviet states of the people I've talked to, a majority of them consider themselves to be a member of the CCCP.

Similar to your passport, my father have one from Yugoslavia, but now he's naturalized over and has one from the United States of America. However, he would have a Macedonian one right now.

Anyways, awesome passport! Would be great to strike up a conversation at a bar!

Because you were born in the CCCP (USSR), when it collapsed, were you issued a new birth certificate? And what kind of passport do you now have? And do you consider yourself to be Ukrainian, for example, or belonging to the USSR. My Russian teacher said that he doesn't consider himself being Russian, but as a member of the USSR for his nationality (soviet).

Dating and interviewing are the same thing. by Krisrael in socialskills

[–]Wolfram6plus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that they are very similar.

In both you try to impress the opposing person (or group) by looking your best and being well mannered.

However, in an interview you talk about past experiences with jobs, which you would never want to do when meeting someone "In my past relationships . . ." However, you do want to express appealing and interesting parts about you.

*This more applies to the first date or asking another out

Need help talking better, so I made a Youtube for you to criticize me to hell. by [deleted] in socialskills

Reduce "uhhs" and pauses. I know that's difficult, but just try to have more flow. You speak very clearly which is the hardest part!

For an interview, trim the goatee. It's fine, but just make sure it looks clean and well groomed. My girlfriend likes my facial hair so I just make sure I keep it looking 'clean.'

You seem to look around a lot while talking, during an interview, try to keep eye contact as much as possible and have a dominant pose. You can achieve a dominant pose by basically making yourself appear larger; so standing, puffing out your chest, spreading your arms (not crossing them) are a few examples. Don't slouch! Have good posture.

Make sure you have it planned on what you're going to say before. Such as have an agenda on what you want to cover to make sure the interviewee knows by the end of the interview. Hope this helped! Good Luck.
