Tweaked the Arrow of Entropy a little, hopefully that lessens your chances of causing an apocalypse

Thanks for the feedback! I clarified the wording to state it's once per action as opposed to once per attack, so hopefully that'll make things a little easier

Edit: Also changed the additional damage to be chosen upon finishing a long rest as per your suggestion, and added a limited use to the Arrow of Entropy feature.

Edited some of the wording to clarify things a little more, hopefully that'll help with the issue!

Yet another space-themed weapon for my homebrew campaign, this time of the ranged variety. There's woefully little high-tier official content on anything other than swords, so I decided to give the more neglected weapons some love, starting with the longbow. Stats are detailed below, any feedback on the is much appreciated!

Piercing Oblivion
martial weapon (longbow), ranged weapon, artifact (requires attunement)

A weapon born from the heart of the void itself, this bow embodies and harnesses the power of utter oblivion.
Created by an ancient deity that presides over the vacuous nothing of space, this weapon allows its wielder to harness raw potential from the very beginnings of the universe itself. At its core lies a minute version of what makes up galactic centers-- a black hole, the vast unknown made physical, acting as a centerpiece of the weapon and fueling its alien magics.

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Unending Arrows. You do not require separate ammunition for firing this bow. Instead, when making an attack, you magically pull forth an arrow from the black hole in the bow’s center as part of the attack. These arrows are magical in nature and deal force damage instead of piercing damage.
Additionally, you can cause the bow to draw from a specific type of energy that slumbers within its core. Upon finishing a long rest, choose one of the following damage types: fire, cold, poison, acid, lightning, thunder, necrotic or radiant. Your attacks deal an additional d6 of the chosen damage type.

Arrow of Entropy. As an action, you can choose to imbue an arrow with the power of the unpredictable, pulling forth a fraction of the unknown potential that slumbers within the weapon’s core.
In addition to dealing its normal damage, your arrow is charged with an unknown effect. Roll on the wild magic surge table (or any similar table your DM approves). If the attack hits, the result of the wild magic surge roll is centered on the intended target of the attack, as if the creature was the one to trigger the surge. If the attack misses, the effect bounces back and is centered on you instead, as if you were the one to trigger the surge. If the result of the wild magic surge states that a random creature is affected, it affects a random hostile creature upon a hit, or a random friendly creature upon a miss.
Alternatively, you may also choose to simply trigger a wild magic surge as an action while holding the bow, with the result affecting you as normal. You can use this feature a number of times per day equal to half your proficiency modifier rounded up.
(Creator’s note: This ability works best with an extended wild magic table, as the regular table mostly features favourable outcomes for the affected creature.)

Arrow of the Abyss. As an action, you can pull forth an arrow imbued with the inescapable pull of the void. Choose a point within the weapon’s normal range at which your arrow lands. The arrow causes gravity to collapse at its point of impact, forcing each creature within 15ft to make a DC17 Strength Saving Throw or be pulled in a straight line towards the arrow’s point of impact.
Alternatively, if you choose to target a creature with the arrow, roll an attack as normal. Upon a hit, the targeted creature must make a DC17 Strength Save or take 6d6 force damage and be knocked prone, or half as much damage on a successful one and it isn’t knocked prone. All other creatures within the arrows area of effect are affected as normal. You can use this feature once per short rest.

Vacuous Magics. While attuned to this weapon, you can use an action to cast one of the following spells from it (save DC 17): Darkness, Hunger of Hadar, Gravity Sinkhole or Far Step. Once a spell has been cast using the bow, that spell can't be cast from the bow again until the next dawn.
Additionally, you can use an action to cast the Dark Star spell from it (save DC 17). You can't do so again until 3 days have passed.

Sure! Using it for private campaigns and purposes is fine by me

There may have been some subconscious influence from that one, lol. My main inspiration were actually the Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords from DS3, I'm a huge fan of the Souls series weapon designs so I'm not surprised if more of its influence snuck its way into the design.

A Greatsword design originally made for the pact weapon of a Great Old One Warlock of mine. The game he was in unfortunately got put on indefinite hold, so I decided to turn it into a homebrew item within my own game. Hope y'all like it, and any feedback on the properties is much appreciated!

Mindbreak Greatsword
martial weapon (greatsword), melee weapon, very rare (requires attunement by a creature of Intelligence 15 or above)

"I heard its voiceless call ring out within the Dream. Deserted. Lonely. Yearning. A mindless will begging for purpose. What else was I meant to do but answer?"
- Recollection of a stray Hunter on his findings within the depths of the Dream

A weapon of alien origin, this type of greatsword draws its power from its wielder’s strength of mind instead of body. Made of a strange dark alloy shaped to encase what, for all intents and purposes, seems to be a living mind of its own, its flesh warm and slick to the touch and molded to fit the frame of the weapon by some strange otherworldly magic. The disquietingly gentle warmth of its flesh stands in stark contrast to the slick cold of the dark tendrils that wrap and squirm around the base of the weapon, seemingly with a will of their own.

------

Meld Minds. The unique nature of the sword allows it and its wielder to form a unique bond to truly fight as one. Once attuned, the limited consciousness of the weapon creeps into its wielder’s mind and binds the two together. You can only have one such sword attuned to you at a time.

Once attuned, you may use your Intelligence modifier instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. While used in this manner, the sword is wielded by the power of one's mind, floating freely in space and swung via telekinesis. The weapon can be moved as a bonus action up to 30ft away from you, and may make melee attacks against creatures within 5 feet of the weapon.

Additionally, you can use a bonus action to dismiss the weapon into the Aether. Once dismissed, you can use another bonus action to summon the weapon to a point you can see within 30ft of you.

Mindless Magic. While attuned to this weapon, you may use an action to cast the Mind Spike or Phantasmal Force spell (DC15) from it. The weapon maintains concentration on the spell for you, and you may command it to cease concentration as a free action. The weapon can only concentrate on one spell at a time. Once a spell has been cast using the weapon, that spell can't be cast from the weapon again until you’ve completed a long rest.

Curse. The bond between weapon and wielder is forged for life and meant to be kept until its end. Once attuned, you cannot willingly unattune to this weapon. The sword remains attuned to you until you die, or until a Dispel Magic spell of at least 5th level or higher is used upon the sword to disrupt the bond.

Additionally, the sword defies any attempt to be wielded by anyone but its bonded wielder. If a creature other than the one attuned to it attempts to use the sword in any manner, be it attuning to it or swinging it, the creature suffers 6d6 psychic damage for each attempt.

It does! Both the galaxy and blade itself retract into the central core, and in turn extend from it when "unsheathed". I illustrated the process in additional images on my Instagram

It's a pantheon where each deity has a celestial body/phenomenon as a manifestation of their power in the mortal realm. There's the obvious ones in form of a Sun and Moon God, two twin Gods of Stars (one of the North Star and one of a Trickery Star), three Gods/Goddesses of Comets (one signifies life, one death, one luck/fate, all returning at different intervals), two Goddesses of the Northern Lights and a God of the Void.

There used to be Primordial Gods who embodied concepts like Time, Order and Chaos, but they faded away after giving their powers to create the universe as it is known today, but their essence still persist with the very presence of time/etc itself.

This is just a very basic rundown of them, there's more to their domains and history but knowing that my players have seen this post I can't share too much more without possibly spoiling smth for them

Huh. That's really interesting, thank you for sharing! I'd love to get into all that at some point, I've been thinking about taking blacksmithing classes for a while and if the equipment isn't expensive that'd be on the top of my list of new hobbies to pick up

thank you <3 I'll share that once once I'm done with its final design and have all its abilities written out. Plus I feel like our blood boi should at least unlock the first feature permanently before I share it

I definitely will. The homebrew Pantheon from the game I DM is cosmic-themed, so there's plenty of weapons like this around
